Having issues starting up the DLC? Close your game, go find this very DLC in the Steam Store and press the "Play Now" button to activate it on Uplay. ( This is relevent for people who owns the season pass or for those where it did just not activate properly via Uplay. ) You're all set. Enjoy~. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5Lv5gHGOiY Now for the people who are always angry with positive spirited individuals to some degree like myself, I'll answer the question you're all looking for. Is the "Underground" DLC any good? The answer is yes. It adds in dungeon based gameplay that otherwise haven't been available in the game that was much needed for the feeling of newer experiences all the time instead of repeating the same god damn missions over and over again. Plus it makes it possible for you to find newer and better gear in constantly newer challenges based on your actual level and "Underground" level. If you don't want a challenge and just want to shoot stuff, the "Underground" DLC got you covered there too, not to mention that there are actual audio tapes that add to the "Undergrond" over all story that explains why and how things happened like they did. The "Underground" DLC also provides the third incursion to the game, but should be available to anyone regardless of owning this DLC or not as far as I know.

Because of the cluster F Of the Darkzone. I mainly play PVE, so i enjoy this DLC because of the added replay value to PVE. That beinf said It also adds more grinding.. You now also have a Underground level. but leveling up adds ways to custimize how the missions will play out, adding diff But the drops are great, i went from 192 - 222 in just a few hours. Being able to add muts to the misssion is a nice touch and makes things more interesting. Although we have been failed in the past this is not a bad DLC. The na sayers will always na. But this DLC is alot of fun.

The underground dlc finally hits the right tone. It is a very good addition for the end game. If you can buy the gold edition with discount it's worth it. Loot drops are also much better. Just to note, the free updates and incursions also keep coming for those who don't have the DLC / season pass

Should've been a free update. It's everything the game needed, but to hide it behind a paywall is just a slap to the face of your playerbase. DLCs should focus on extending the story, not adding things that should've been there from the beginning.

Good God. How many times is this company going to let it's fans down. At first I was excited for the DLC , then I remembered Ubisoft had it's hand in it. What a joke. Once Again Ubisoft telling non stop lies. The DLC is a repitive mess and nothing in it (gear wise) is worth your time. Seems to me that Ubisoft is penalizing PVE players because I can go to the DARK ZONE and find gear a hundred times better in just a couple hours. The DLC makes people farm the same boring storyless shit for hours, and hours, and hours. The whole DLC feels lifeless, and stale. They added worthless changes to the mobs that (to me) makes this company seem incapable of doing shit right, and they still have not added any real new mobs. Bos battles are RETARDED. Their idea of making things harder is to just have all the mobs rush you. Who the hell would do that in real life? the A.I. is pathetic. Took hours to find three 214 mint set pieces.... in a fraction of that time in the DARK ZONE I found four 268 set pieces! Why the fuck would i ever bother with the DLC?! Clearly Ubisoft just trying to milk more cash from it's customers; them not giving the Weapon Augmentation to everyone is only proof of that. In other words if you do not buy this DLC YOU - ARE - F****** UBISOFT! stop this pathetic attempt at DLC and deliver the god damn game you promissed pre launch. You can start by giving this DLC to everyone..... For fuck sake FIX ALLLLLLLLLL THE INSANE SHITTY BUGS IN YOUR GAME. Tons of Buggs from beta STILL EXIST!!

In short: If you're not into post-30 content yet, then don't buy this, yet. There's no sense in spending more money if it won't unlock a single thing you can use until you're at or near the end-game. In length: The Underground DLC is essentially a heavy nod towards the Rift-style "dungeon crawling" that Diablo 3 incorporated. You pick a mission, pick perimeters and restrictions (Which you have to unlock by leveling in the Underground, oddly enough), and then start grinding away to raise your gear score. If you're not remotely interested in the Dark Zone, this certainly gives you something to do in the end-game, but the oddness of it is that it's not apt to reward you nearly as well as the Dark Zone will, at least not for quite some time, as you grind your way up through Underground rankings. I'm not completely convinced that this was the shot in the arm that The Division needed, because while it is fun in an immediate sort of way just because it's new, and because I'm a lunatic who actually enjoys grind-based gameplay when it's tacked onto action-oriented combat systems, in the long run I'm prone to ask what the point of it is. It doesn't add anything new to the overworld, and save for the small hub region, the Underground is completely randomly generated, so I have to wonder what the purpose of this DLC will serve as soon as the next one comes around. If the next DLC just hikes up the gearscore on top of adding a new area, what would the point of that DLC be in the first place? Why would anyone go there instead of just continuing the Underground grind? If the new DLC doesn't hike the gearscore, and offers an entirely new, separated experience, who in the world would come back here and grind away for potentially a hundred hours or more to gain access to outdated, end-tier Underground gear? Again, in an immediate sort of way, if you've already reached post-30 content and are itching for something else to do, the Underground definitely fills that void by attempting to be a PVE-oriented solution to the Dark Zone, but I just can't fathom the longevity of this DLC, beyond that. If you're at the end of the leveling grind and you hate the Dark Zone, and you're still interested in playing more of The Division, then the Underground is certainly worth taking a gander at. It's more fast-paced and less predictable than grinding dungeons, you don't have to deal with the plethora of problems associated with the Dark Zone in order to keep progressing in the game, but the payoff can be a little bit slow later on, as you raise up in Underground experience. Beyond that, if you're not yet 30, and regardless of how much fun you're having with The Division, I wouldn't buy it, yet. There's no telling if you'll change your mind before the cap, and it offers you absolutely nothing at all before you get there, anyways.

This Game has officially slowly died. I regret wasting $80 jst to pre-order this game. I don't even have much time to play this anymore. Paying or wasting large amounts of time to finally get a good piece of gear? even other mmo's are more rewarding than this game. I advise dont buy this DLC, i regret getting the season pass and so will you. If you have 24 hrs a day to spend on this game, then please go ahead and play. Like me, you probs have a life in which theres no point playing this game. If you are either geared to the recommended level or slightly undergeared by a couple item levels the instance is so hard on hard mode. no joke mobs take foreva to die and usually if u get hit once or twice your downed immediately. Like all shooters, hacker population is growing in the game. Get 1 shot by invisble players, who steal your stuff

Interesting how the underground uses random map tiles to produce a different combat zone for each delve into the Underground but eventually the gameplay becomes incredibly stale and samey. The gear drops are best when you have a full 4 man squad and do stuff on challenging or heroic modes so solo players are limited in scope as to what they can do to get much better gear. Having sunk a fair bit of time into the Division and now the expansion I really don't have much inclination to play it. The main issue is the repetitive nature of the game while you are stuck in the grind treadmill. I enjoyed what I have done so far but really don't feel the pull to keep playing much more. The Underground seems like a bit of a waste of cash and time now and it's quite a let down as I was excited by the concept of the random maps but the objectives are limited to seven types so pretty soon it's a case of "oh, kill another bad guy bullet sponge down in some tunnels" again.... I seriously wish there was a "meh" option for reviews because this is exactly how I feel about it all. The harder weekly HVT's seem to give decent loot or you could try the cesspool that is the dark zone if pvp floats your boat. But yeah, just so meh about it all after such a short space of time.

Boy did Ubisoft actually do something good for once. The only problem I have with this update, is that, in the end, it is just grinding, but this makes it somewhat funner, as there is more storyline and lore, and it pushes me to grind to find out what happened. This update needed to be free, everyone should have the oppurtunity to progess their character and have a damn good time doing it.

This Expansion isn't that bad, by all means. It's just that there isn't much new about it and is pretty much the same you can do in the base game. Feb 27, 2018

This DLC have its ups and downs but for a Tl:dr if you want pve content buy it First off it adds dungeons to the game which it really need it, all it had before was the story missions you could replay which got old real fast. Now they put together a few sets from a underground train station that all look very much the same. In these dungeons you will fight all the enermies the game have to offer and a set of new ones Hunters. Hunters offer a nice break from the brain dead easy to kill NPC that just rush you, they act more like players with the set of skills they have, they also have a random chance of poping up after any "objective" have been cleared and will then offer a challenge to the players (this mostly being because if they get close to you, you die as they have a instant exacute with a melee weapon that kills the player) Each dungeon can have up to 3 phases but to unlock that you have to grind for many hours since you are stuck with 1 phase to level 20 and 2 phases to level 35 and gaining xp in the underground takes a long time. This is a pointless waste of time since theres no reason to lock the lenght of the missions at all. Before lunching a dungeon you can add Directives which is added bonus and debuffs to the player, these are a nice way to make a dungeon more instresting as they both fuck with the player and helps them Gear drops have to be talked about, as i have tried a bit of everything since i got back to 1.8 i cant say the drops are worse in underground then Dark Zone. When you hit a point where you just need the last few bits it dont matter much where you are since the drop chance are just so low and ive found i can fill my backpack with set gear in 90 mins or so

Basically adds instances to the game like you would see in WoW or GW2, it works well and is fun, but I feel 15 euros is pretty steep for just a mode that adds randomly generated instances. This actually should've been free because it just ends up splitting the community. So while I do recommend the content, please only get this when it's on a 50% sale or higher.
The Division: Underground DLC * 8/10
New York's Underground can be a real maze. A procedural maze.
INTRO & GAMEPLAY. What is The Division: Underground DLC about and how does it work?
Maybe not exactly procedural. The Underground DLC consists in a generic mission in randomly ordered and connected "pre-built template" areas, giving you the impression you're going through a different mission every time. Some template are pretty common, so you'll see them often, some are rare and it's nice to explore them when you get the occasion. The most particular part of underground is that you can add specific bonus/malus options, such as +stability/-ammo, fast health regen/slow health ability recharge and so on. On a bad side most difficult missions with higher bonus/malus slots are locked as you will have a new Underground level, unrelated to your character, that you'll have to work on to raise it by grinding mission by mission.
GRAPHIC. Engine And Artistic aspects.
This is a DLC so there's not much to say about the Snowdrop Engine, but I can say that the underground got the same good level of care for details given to the base game. All locations are righ of details and the rarest areas are also kind of cool.
SOUNDTRACK. Themes and Accompaniments.
Ola Strandh made a new soundtrack for this DLC, but even though it's a nice accompaniment, it lacks the stile and charm of the main game's music.
LAST NOTES. What doesn't work?
Having such a variety of difficulties and bonus/malus can be fun, but makes Matchmaking a hell, unless you already have your own team. There are too many variables and that makes it very hard to join a team with your exact variables. Not to mention that you can't join a started mission (something you can do in the main game even with legendary missions. With the last standing boss...), making it a great problem for those with connection issues.
TL;DR. Pros And Cons

+++PROs+++

NICE ADDITION. This DLC can deliver a good challenge and further hours of fun and grinding for those who enjoy the main game.

---CONs---

MATCHMAKING. The big variety of bonus/malus can give many combinations of games which can make it hard to find other players to matchmake with, leaving you long times to wait or giving up.
I played this game on this machine: Intel Core i7-4970 16Gb RAM DDR3 GeForce GTX 1060 6Gb & GeForce GTX 660 Windows 10 Professional x64
You can follow my reviews through my curator page: Everybody's reviews You can also join my Steam group: Everybody's reviews You are welcome to join and post your own reviews, we can support each other!
You need to have finished the main game and be level 30+ to access the DLC. Randomly generated, dungeon crawling. If you like crawling through the subway system in the Darkzone, you will enjoy this.

+++PROs+++
