It's broken. Do NOT purchase. Every time I try to launch it, it gives me a message about "failing to load asset correctly", then freezes. Yes, I rebooted my computer, updated my drivers, verified integrity of files, reinstalled the game, etc etc etc. It's broken. Like broken broken. And, of course, you can't refund it because steam refunds are tied to the underlying game instead of the DLC. DO NOT purchase.

Kinda sad when the environment of the game is better than the board game itself. Was quiet slow and someone got 30% of their points rolling 20's in 2 turns. Ended with a very sad whimper.

This board game is a great board game. this is as close as you can get to a truly open ended space game. The xpack will only make this game better, Hopefully they add it as a dlc so i can buy the xpack too and play it on here with my friends

The level of polish in this is breathtaking. Custom background and table with animated drawers, nicely scripted overall, very good models and nice visual and sound effects. Props to whoever ported this to TTS, waiting on the expansion!

A Good official DLC for an amazing game. Some things are a bit clunky though. Such as when selecting a ship you have to cycle through all the ships and the abilities seperately to decide on what you want. I've fixed this in my save file but others may not. This is really difficult for new players since they are unfamiliar with what eash ship. On top of that, the ship selector has a forward and backwards selection but the abilities do not. This forces new players to cycle through abilities many times just to finally settle on one. Also, the noises are a bit too much. The trollier players will just spam the noises until you complain or kick them. and throughout a game, you have to listen to the cacophony of wizzes and whirrs and zaps and buzzes as everyone does stuff from moving cargo and outfits to placing damage or ships. I dont mind the sounds I just wish they were a little quieter without forcing me to lower the games global sound. Overall, this is an impressive DLC and really shows off the capabilities of TTS's scripting and modding. Whoever made this DLC really went all out and it shows. Even if it wasnt one of my favorite games, I would have bought this just to support the amount of effort from Berserk and the team that made this DLC. Its a benifit that I would buy it no matter what to support Cody Miller and Far Off Games for designing a game that gives me hours of fun in-person and now in TTS each week. Looking forward to seeing an official release of the expansion for TTS since that really makes this game shine. 8.5/10

I like games where you have to roll a dice to accomplish things. Everything that is really good is a high risk- high reward thing. Be a standard trader or just harvest your own goods to sell them on a planet... If you are lucky enough you will get rich. If not you will take serious damage and you are forced to power up your shields. Someone legendary in my friend list didn't need a shield system. He learned it the hard way :P You could also just hunt down your friends who keep a nice cargo hold full of materials and sell them on a rogue planet! But be aware they could form an alliance to get your bounty because those action are not that legal :P The way you have to manage your ship's energy within your ship tiles feels really unique. When you receive damage your systems will suffer which impacts your dice roll as well. You can upgrade your ship which all have special abilities such as a Dodge Roll or a Sentry Gun and buy better ship systems (Blaster, Missile, Shield and Engine). And of course you could blind jump into a Star because - er.. well, I did not find an answer to this.. how on earth you wouldn't see a star ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ tl;dr: Really good game, really fun, money well spent!

Xia: Legends of a Drift System is an excellent DLC for Tabletop Sim. The game table is very unique and the quality of the game/table is unlike any game I've ever played on TTS. There is some randomness in terms of dice rolling (For example sometimes you have to roll a D20 to see what happens when you fly through space debris) but not too much to make it a game about luck. There's a good selection of missions to keep the game running and I do enjoy the Title system as well. Anyways a very good game to play with friends! If you want to ask me any questions about the DLC or want to test it out, please feel free to message me and I can get a game set up for you :)

Holy moly this is an incredibly top-notch DLC for a fantastic game. The sound effects, rocket thruster effects, and game table are excellent. I spent 10 minutes just pulling out all the drawers and pressing all the buttons like a tyrannical toddler. Only this DLC has ever made me desperately want virtual furniture to be real.

Xia: Legends of a Drift System for TTS is simply amazing. There have been other DLCs that use scripting and other capabilities of TTS to reduce setup time. There have been other DLCs that incorporate nice tables, backdrops, models and textures and there have been other DLCs of great games, but seriously: Not even once have I seen THIS level of polish! (@developer: This mod made me order the physical board game instantly. Even though I will buy the expansion anyway as soon as it's available I still DO hope that you'll sell it for TTS as well!) Thanks to the scripting and the excellent layout of the table and the component drawers and 'credit dispensers' the setup time for this DLC is incredibly short for the number of components that have to be moved during setup. (Or "would have to be moved" if the mod didn't do it automatically.) Beyond that: So far I have to admit I only played this mod solo as a test-run, but I absolutely love the game already. Of course you don't have to trust me on this one. I'm not a professional board game reviewer. Instead trust people who've played countless board games ... like Tom Vasel for example: He loves this game as well. tl:dr: check the following conditions: 1.) You own Tabletop Simulator 2.) you like sci-fi 3.) you aren't disinclined to play competitive games 4.) you have 8 EUR to spend 5.) You know two other players to whom conditions 1.) through 3.) apply OR you don't mind looking for players online. If all five conditions apply to you there is absolutely no excuse not to get this DLC right now. Also: If you know about any DLC or mod for TTS that I haven't seen so far and that offers the same level of polish seen here: Plese tell me about it! I can't imagine there is one (yet), but if I'm wrong I'd like to know. ;)

I am completely blown away by this DLC... Not only is it an INCREDIBLE VALUE, since you can't buy "Xia" new for less than 200 bucks, but it looks and plays amazing! To top it all off theres a mod on the workshop that adds in the expansion (requires purchasing this DLC), why is that a big deal? Because it adds, new missions, events, sector tiles, ship updates, a new economy board, new NPC and most importantly for some: Solo play cards and rules!

Absolutely love the lay out and how the tablet let's you interface as if you're in your own little command center. As far as the game board goes though, I'm not sure if I'm setting up incorrectly but I can't seem to get the tiles to snap together? I suppose they don't scale and fit perfectly? Maybe I'm asking for too much. Great purchase though and I'm excited to get started. Played this game IRL and very happy to have it here now. ***UPDATE***I figured out how to lock the tiles...I guess I wasn't "dealing" them properly. Make sure you deal them don't just scoop them out of the stack and try to assemble them. ;)

Overall, it's a very well produced DLC. It makes an otherwise complicated setup and tracking mod, into one that makes things simpler and less of a headache to manage. It's also intuitive in the way the user areas are presented. It's definitely attractive! That said, it is a little outdated compared to where TTS is in 2020. The rulebook is a simple import of the actual rulebook and with it being vertical and dense, it's hard to read it within the mod due to limited zoom space and resolution. From a scripting perspective, you could feel the lack of a "Start Game" button, to help get the game going once all players have their dashboards setup. I also felt it odd (nitpick) there wasn't bank/wallet for credits on the dashboard anywhere, considering the credits don't stack. All that said, the game itself being fun really caries this mod home! There are user mod's which contains the Embers expansion; it's essential at this point. In fact, don't bother buying this DLC unless you intend to use one on top of this mod. Now that I think about it, It's actually a quite disappointing the expansion hasn't been integrated into the official DLC yet. The main reason I say that is due to the fact that the Embers expansion exists mainly to address/fix several of the major issues players were having with the base game rule set, and significantly improves the immersion. I still recommend this DLC, but not without the caveat of using a user mod to include the Embers expansion. On it's own 6/10; with the rule improvements from the Embers expansion via user mods 8/10. Would've given either an extra point if there was "Start Game" scripting.

REally really really wanted to like this, but I can't get it to work. Managed to refund the TTS, but can't figure out how to refund this DLC. Good news is I only lost $4 since it was on sale. Some other people have apparently been luckier than me. Xia is an AMAZING board game, but I haven't been able to get it to do anything on TTS. Can't even flip the table.
