It's possible I didn't play this long enough, but playing through the first three maps shows that this basically breaks down to three steps 1) click to attack 2) walk slowly to a person and take a quest 3) dig up a chest for them and walk slowly back. I have tried to refund this game even though I only paid $4. Sorry game, but this was just not good.

Mixed. It is quirky, and intentionally slow. The movement (clearly designed for a controller) is cumbersome. Chests send contents in all directions which then requires walking a lap around them, actions require a few seconds of waiting, and the best strategy is to use a skill, kite while waiting for recharge, and repeat. The save system is odd (a mix of automatic at unknown times, and manually by using an inventory item), which I still do not fully understand. No tutorial can be acceptable, but the interface is not intuitive - apparently the gear icon means use - so if you think you are going to get more details about that poison you are holding, enjoy the taste! I had the same problem with the bomb and did not know how to place it back in inventory. Path finding is poor, do not expect to reach your destination if there is more than one turn. Also, clicking is inaccurate so when you are surrounded by enemies just sit back and take it while your skills recharge, or click away furiously – possibly to your own peril. Several achievements are overly grindy - no thanks, I am not interested in 100s of loading screens so I can reach enough deaths. Additionally, the DLC is integrated into the game in a way where I tried to go to a point on the map in the early part of the game and got an advertisement to buy the DLC.

Its a bit tough to start out but once you get the hang of it, its alot of fun. Co-op is working now and it adds a whole new bit of excitement, i.e mobs are even tougher then when by yourself. Sometimes combat can be a pain if your fighting close to a tree or rock as you will most likely hit one of them instead of the enemy but overall ive had no issues murdering them. As of right now im still testing what skills are usefull and which ones i think are a waste of the shards needed to get and upgrade but freeze i think will be a must. I do think the drop rate on the blue shards is a little low seeing as you need them for anything u can get for gear or skills. Give this game a try i wasnt dissappointed and i dont think you will be too.

Great little RPG with a ton of potential. I've only played the solo aspect of the game so I can't speak on the co-op play. I was hesitant to purchase when I saw the animated gifs due to it looking like a rogue-like game. I'm glad I took the time to watch a few videos and finally make the purchase. Looking forward to Chapter 2 and future enhancements as the devs work it up to a final release. Things I'd love to see: 1.) Ability to purchase more backpack slots. 2.) Minimap in the upper-right corner (the maps are small enough that you don't really need it but I'd love it in dungeons). 3.) The ability to sell items faster. Great little gem of a game!

Started playing this co-op with my gf. Was fun for the first 30 minutes or so but quickly became tedious and repetitive. The combat is simplistic, clunky and not fun at all (point and click and auto-attacking with ability hotkeys). No character customization whatsoever, you both play the exact same character. There was also the completely idiotic design choice of all enemies becoming stronger every single time you leave or enter a new area for no reason at all. About an hour in we ran into a gamebreaking situation where we both died behind a door that was locked from the inside and respawned outside of it, unable to get back into it. This was part of a main quest and completely blocked all progression for us and we couldn't do anything to fix it. Bottom line, avoid at all costs. Not worth your time or money, there are far better games like this out there.

This game was really fun, we played it with Couch COOP from the beginning to the end and didn't have any problems while doing so. If you are looking for a nice RPG where you can play with your Girlfriend or just enjoy on the couch this is a perfect pick 10/10 would buy again

At first this game may seem nice and simple, but when you get into it you realize that it is simply tedious and boring. * The fights are all the same with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 mobs, including the last boss. * The music is extremely repetitive and boring. * The puzzles are very simple. * The character progression is extremely basic (you have 4 stats and 3 equipment items matching 3 of these stats; Health with no matching item, Attack with weapon, Armor with helmet, and Defense with shield). * Traveling around is tedious because you cannot simply go from A to B even if they're right next to each other, you have to go in a predefined path, which, before you acquire the airship, can mean you have to walk through almost all the points in the map before you reach your destination with a chance of a random encounter between every two points (and then you still have to go all the way back too). * There is no "low health" indicator, which has caused me to die numerous times simply because I forgot to restore health - the mobs chip away a little HP with every hit, and I block most of them, so it simply accumulated over time and I didn't notice because I was too busy looking at the attacking mobs. The last boss fight in particular is absolutely retarded, in stage 2 he teleports around every 2 seconds while spawning mobs (50/50 easy skeletons and the toughest skeletons in the game), and the only way to keep him in his place is to use the freezing skill while he's in the center of the map, but then you get zerg rushed by the mob who are always 2 steps behind you so you can't stay around for long, which means you can only chip off a tiny bit of health every time you get to him. I kept doing this for a solid 10 minutes on Normal difficulty - run around while avoiding mobs and boss skills, wait until the boss teleports to the center, freeze him + apply Whirlwind and keep on hacking for as long as possible -, but the mobs still eventually surrounded me and I was dead before long, while the boss health was still >50%. That is simply inadequate for Normal difficulty of an otherwise casual RPG, especially considering I had all of the best equipment available maxed out or almost maxed out and skills at lv9+. TL;DR - I would not pay more than 5€ for this at its current state, and even then I'd regret it because of how tedious and bland it is.

My husband and I played this game over the weekend and loved it! It was such a fun quick game to play co-op and we got so into the quest that we didn't realize the time passing. T totally recommend for those looking for something light hearted and fun to do.

For fans of Diablo/Torchlight AARPG games looking for something a bit more casual to share with a "non-gamer", this game is a home run. And for hardcore fans there's always the difficulty setting to challenge yourself. Still running through the game but plan on 100%'ing, which is always a good sign. Gotta love when devs pull through! (Seriously, good job guys)

I bought this to play with my wife. From that perspective, I'd recommend it. That's why I'm recommending it. If you want to play with your kids, or with your partner who stopped playing video games back in the Nintendo 64 days, this is a good choice. It's simple enough to entertain. However, from the perspective of a seasoned gamer, this game needs some serious work: -The hitbox is absurdly tiny and doesn't match the sword swing particle at all. You've got to be on top of an enemy to hit, and sometimes you still miss even then. -Hunting for secrets is zero fun. It means cutting down every single tree and crushing every single rock, and then walking in a grid pattern looking for places to dig. So tedious. -The spells are afterthoughts. The only two spells that are actually good are the chain lightning and the freeze spell. Otherwise they don't scale well enough for the cost of upgrading them. Spells need some work. -For a game that has you carrying around a permanent shovel, there are no meaningful mechanics that involve digging. If it's so important that it has its own button, it should be more purposeful. Again, it's good enough for the kids and non-gamers. Not for me, though. I'm giving it a pass because my wife likes it.

A fun game for fans of Diablo and Torchlight, but it's not just a ripoff of those games. It has its own charm, especially when it comes to finding secrets. It's an unfortunately generic name for such an engaging, entertaining game with its own weird little world. I enjoy that things like random encounters on the map can be easily avoided if wished. The one thing I really have a problem with is the save system. You need to 1. find a dark torch, 2. and have a torch in your backpack in order to light it and save the game. I am disabled and there are times I need to end my game suddenly, but either there isn't a torch in the area, I don't have the mats to make one, and/or my backpack is full. A save game system should not depend on random drops and backpack space. If this feature were altered I could enjoy the game a lot more.

Really Fun Game. Graphics are Nice & the Music is Good (although it can become a bit repetitive). The Character Art during Conversations is Very Good, kind of Comic-Like. Gameplay is a lot of Fun. Basic Attack & Block, with 3 Skills assigned to Buttons (from a total of 10). Puzzles can be Tricky but none are too difficult. Story is in 3 Chapters. Took me a total of 34hrs to finish the game with 100% Achievements. Really, really, really Good Dev's. Always answered Questions i had in the Steam Discussions page, which helped me a lot whenever i got stuck & didn't know what to do next. If not for the Helpfulness of the Dev's i wouldn't have finished the Game.

It has all the system needed to be a pretty good dungeon crawler but the game is too simplistic/basic, buggy and has too many poor design choices. It feels like it has simply fallen victim to a small development budget. The gameplay in the trailer is sped-up which is just straight-up false advertisement. It gives a false sense of the game being more fast-paced when in fact it is incredibly slow and almost nothing happens ever except for clicker-style combat.

No voice acting, very simple sound effects, cut-scenes look bad.
Very short and repetitive soundtrack. Muted the game after 20 minutes of playing.
It tries to have a story but it really doesn't, it all just feels like filler text that maybe a child could be entertained by.
Lacks any character customization, you can change between 4 body/clothing looks, some hair/accessory/beard options. Also why not design a female character?
Lacks a perk system and the abilities you can upgrade are sooooooo boring, feels like it was designed for a phone.
Incredibly small inventory which forces you to go back to base to sell all the time.
Combat is just terrible, you just button spam till the enemies die, there's no skill or anything involved unless you consider pressing a button many times in a fast manner skill.
Enemies become stronger way too fast. After 1 hour of playing dungeons started to be filled with enemies that literally 1-shot me, there was nothing I could do other than leave and farm levels which is boring as all hell
Incredibly simple "puzzles".
No fast-travel system. Combined with how slow you walk and with no option to run this becomes extremely tedious when you have to back-track(which you have to do a lot).
Even though the store page claims it does, it doesn't have full controller support: several buttons aren't bound, the default binds are crap, in the menu/character screen you can only switch tabs in 1 direction(left) for whatever reason, and in general it just feels awkward. It obviously hasn't been optimized very much for a controller. You walk way too slow and you can't jump or run. Many bugs like the first secret in the first map being literally outside of the playable area so you cannot get it, opening the Steam overlay causes you to permanently use the Block ability, the game soft-locked on me once when I opened the map. It feels like the developer just didn't have enough money to spend enough time/hire enough people to work on this. It's a pretty good idea for a game and it has all the groundwork needed, but it fails quite horribly in the gameplay. It plays like a phone app, a kid could probably enjoy this. The game attracted me with it's looks and positive reviews but gave an awful taste in my mouth after a short while playing it. I really liked this. Great little game that's really good to get your younger players started. Nice, clean fun with co-op options for players that want to team up. Liked the game mechanics and it moved at a good pace. Did feel a little 'grindy' in places but I really enjoyed it.

Not worth the money. This is more like a $5 time waster. I bought this game because it looked like an RPG coop with crafting and puzzles and story line but really its a hack and slash dungeon crawler with very limited anything. There is a very linear boring story line. Choices have no bearing on the game and in the video where they show "hero management" all they are doing is moving items around in inventory slots. There is no crafting. For example, if you want a helmet you just go to a merchant with coins gold stone and wood and they give you a helmet etc. On the plus side the game isn't too boring. I spent 2 hours waiting for something different to happen before I gave up.

I am about 6 hours in the game and I really like it. The good: game play is fun. Exploration, fighting, looting. Everything is quite well done. The different NPC are fun to interact with. Bad: Please add a run button. Walking around all the time can get annoying, especially when you retrace your steps. Managing inventory is annoying at first, but it is possible to increase the size of both stash and backpack.

    Feb 22, 2020

This game doesn't really have much going on. Combat is just some button mashing and eating stuff to heal the opponent AI is just to walk toward the player and attack. There is a small amount of crafting of new items and improvements but you can generally keep ahead of it with stuff you find. The puzzles are all straightforward and mostly involve pushing blocks around or flipping switches. The graphics and sound are good but the story is weak and when you finish it the game ends abruptly. It quickly becomes pretty repetitive just breaking everything on every map. It runs smoothly with no crashes. The most apparent bug is sometimes you can swing your weapon at stuff and it just wont break and you have to use one of your special skills. This occurs mostly with fallen trees. Also there is some kind of bug with selling items that can stack but you only have one of them. I used an xbox controller for most of the game and it worked just fine. Having said all that, I still enjoyed it somewhat. Get it on sale, play through it once and forget about it.
