Neon Space is a fun and simple but at the same time highly addictive game.

The goal of the game is to drive your little space ship from one end to another, dodging numerous obstacles, solving puzzles, opening new passages with checkpoints and discovering unique game mechanics by yourself. There are 50 levels, and there is also a cool medal system so you can always try your best for that shiny gold medal. If the game becomes too hard you can make it easier with your two in-game abilities slow and blink.

Slow ability- allows for the player to slow down everything except for the player itself.

Blink ability- allows you to jump a short distance. If you manage to time it right, you can even jump through some of the obstacles in the game.

These cool little tricks will have to be used on some levels to push you a bit closer to that medal. To make sure the game doesn't become too boring, new mechanics and tricks are being added to some levels, just to keep it spiced up through the entire play time.

OVERVIEW Neon Space is a game about a small little space ship navigating through space and trying to avoid obstacles and find its way. With 50 levels, 14 Steam Achievements, Steam Trading Cards and full controller support, this is a fun game at a low price of $1. PROS + Cheap + Achievements + Easy to pickup + Full controller support + Many different levels CONS - Rage Inducer - Not much to do after 50 levels CONCLUSION I would recommend this game to majority of people because of its simple and easy to get into atmosphere. It is a new game that is done very well but I think it could add from allowing players to make their own levels, and play community made levels. 7/10
"The ball of 2 abilities"
Neon Space is a challenging skill game with simplistic graphics and a club music in-game player. Honestly I bought the game just for the trailer playing "Alan Walker - Faded". You control a ball in timemode through a labrinth of rotating and elevating neon platforms. The playtimes for each level will be rated for bronze, silver or gold medal. Additional you have 2 special abilities slow (slows down every movement) and blink (lets you jump over red moving bars). The abilities are recharged after a while shown with progress bars inside your ball. Unfortunately the control of blink is not very precisely and pure luckbased how far you jump and even if you jump at all. I just died on several bars for no reason. So I must say the first few levels were fun. But lateron levels require a proper use of blink which seems impossible. At some higher stages and the boss level some superfast turretshots are used extrem hard to dodge. They even glitch sometimes throiúgh walls which is quite annoying. It's a pity that there are still bugs which must be worked on. Hopefully Neon Space 2 has a better feeling of gameplay,

Neon Space is a really cool indie action-puzzle-game. But be warned: It takes less than a dollar to play. It takes a lot of sweat and tears to complete. - The difficulty of some levels is extremely high, the hitboxes are unfair at times and the blink ability is unpredictable. - Therefore you need to retry a lot until you get the mechanics right in the later levels. + The soundtrack is absolutely amazing. Kept me going until the end. + The level design shows variety and all the levels are great fun. Overall I can recommend Neon Space!

The game delivered on its promises: neon and space! Initially, I wasn't too keen on the tank-ish controls, but honing my technique wasn't painful whatsoever. I do have to say that the inertia for stopping is bang on, as any more would have caused our lil' protagonist to behave frustratingly. The lovely music, splendid atmosphere, and the visual polish engaged me for the entire playthough.

Rule nr. 1 when making a platformer or any other high precision game like this, the controls need to be top notch, this game delivers terrible controls and the hit collision is also incredibly bad. Controller support doesn't work as intended, two of the core mechanics simply don't work on the X-box 360 controller. It makes me wonder if this game was even playtested before the dev decided to launch it. As for the levels, the levels are very repetitive, nothing major gets added over time, at least not for the first 37 levels or so and there's only 50 levels in total. It's the same in each level, dodge the red lasers and avoid the acid rain? This makes the game very boring, very quickly. I can not recommend this at the low price of €1, not even at a sale, stay away and play something more worth your time. I can say the only reason you may get it is if you like electronic and dubstep, both of which don't go very well with the setting of the game, I would personally have chosen something more symphonic or ambient. Unfortunately there's no way to fully mute the game, the music can be turned off but the sound effects will still be there. Rating: 2 / 10.

If you have ever wondered what it's like to be a lab rat in a maze, then this is for you. SImple, fun and addictive game, where you must fly your spaceship from the beginning of the level to then end, without dying. There will be obstacles that will try to stop, and destroy you at every turn. Gameplay is simple. Graphics are minimalistic, but colorful, and the soundtrack is not too techno, or too mellow. Addictive gameplay will keep you coming back for more, plus the difficulty level increase slowly as you go, so that it does not become too complicated too quickly. They do not tell you this in the game, but you can use your mouse to control the direction you want your ship to go in. Then you can use the keys to move forward, back, and what have you. For the low price of one dollar, I highly recommend this game. Don't take my word for it, and check out my video by clicking on the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrK6H1M6wsA&list=PLGCO4EfbVB6XXoAnQMUJjoEh3c2BLfHx8&index=72

The concept is fine, the music is fine and dynamic. But the controls are bad. Even with the gamepad (controller) I have a feeling it is too sensitive. So it is very hard when you often encounter moving block of lasers, which you must not hit (fail), which is moving slower than you and the space between them is very narrow. You have practically no way to adjust your speed, even with controller. With keyboard you have to hit the arrow faster or slower and in the end you hit it anyway... I did several levels, but than I got too much frustrated (and got all the trading cards, but that was not my initial motivation). So for almost zero price or for free - why not. Otherwise no.
First part of the Neon Space game
As I first played Neon Prism, a game from the same studio, I noticed that it was released later than Neon Space, and yet I think Neon Space is the better game.
Gameplay
As the creator writes, in the game we move in a spaceship, and our goal is to complete 50 different levels. We move through the levels on time and depending on how fast we complete a level, we get a certain number of stars. Two powers are available to us: blink and slow down time.
Graphics
The graphics are simple and clear. In the background we can see an animated background. Generally it's not bad, but I don't know if such graphics can interest many players.
Sound
In the background, we'll hear dubstep that accompanies us through all levels.
Summary
Neon Space is an average game, but it's a little better than Neon Prism, so anyone who would like to buy one of these games, I recommend buying Neon Space. Nevertheless, I hope that the second part will be even better than the first one.
