Neon Space 2 is a highly anticipated sequel to Neon Space. The game kept all the elements from his predecessor, but at the same time the visuals received a mayor improvement. Goal of the game remains the same, you still have to guide your ship through numerous checkpoints to finish the level, while dodging obstacles, timing your abilities, solving puzzles to advance through the game, while trying to beat your previous high-score to obtain the gold medal. You have 2 abilities on your disposal, both cool down based.

**Slow ability- allows for the player to slow down everything except for the player itself.

**Blink ability- allows you to jump a short distance. If you manage to time it right, you can even jump through some of the obstacles in the game.

Enjoy the uplifting music, breath taking visuals, solve puzzles, don't be afraid to fail, the game might be a bit tricky towards the end, but everyone can master it, and become the NEON KING.

Ok this is a pretty fun game, the controls are not very friendly though. The music is amazing, however I tried to find some of the music from their list and that list is all sorts of unorganized. There are songs under the wrong author, there is no way to sample the songs or set your own playlist either. Also the controls for the mouse are pretty terrible as the cursor will vanish if you aren't using it. Finally the music stops every time you die, any time you are paused, and in between levels. If they fixed these issues with an immediate respawn or continuous music this game would easily be worth 5 times what it is now. I reccomend this game if you can get past those small issues because the music is pretty amazing and it is a fun little time consumer. Also just a side note all of the music was taken from Creative Commons, a list of songs for anyone to access to edit. If anyone cared that is also a thing...

Oh god why do I keep buying these games. Here's the basic premise of Neon Space 2 - fly a spaceship through a bunch of narrow and twisty paths, and avoid the many death traps that lie in wait in the process. As a premise, that's fine - but after only a few minutes getting used to the controls, you can already see the whole game falling apart around you. They're just not precise - tapping a button can send your ship forward a tiny jolt or a massive lurch purely based on the mood the game is in, and turning feels floaty, surreal and just plain not fun at all. Then you realise the collision detection is similarly awful - your ship can explode randomly while being a notable distance away from any nearby obstacle whatsoever, and it's impossible to distinguish the point where you should actually be staying away from anything that could create a critical existence failure. Difficulty is schizophrenic to the extreme as well. One early level is full of fast moving laser grids, requiring precise navigation and timing up until the very end. Another level just a bit later on is... A basic maze with no obstacles whatsoever. It's perplexing to observe, but no matter what a level contains, there's never really a sense of satisfaction that comes from beating any of them. It's more of a grim muttering of "finally..." and a slow sense of dread about what's coming next. Good points? Well, your ship's two abilities (Blink, which teleports you forward and through some obstacles, and slow time, which... Slows time) can occasionally be fun. Use them well while not being screwed over by the other game mechanics, and for a brief moment you feel like you're in control of the Matrix. The music's good as well - a quick glimpse of the credits shows it's all creative commons stuff, but there’s a nice mix of stuff which is nice to listen to and follows a good sci-fi theme, so fair play there. Still, though, Neon Space 2 just... Isn't fun. There are tons of games like this, which do everything slightly better at the very least. Half of them are free online. Go and play them instead.

Well, this game is simple in terms of gameplay, but even thought it is simple still gameplay is amazing!!! Basically all experience is based on incredible and perfectly fitting music themes which tranform game from simple arcade to perfect time killer as well as just amazing game with a lot of positive emotions after playing it. I will grade it as 9/10 and I am removing one point because some levels are incredibly hard to complete (really hard!) But still it is easy to get comfortable with this game. Have a nice time playing it.

Graphics are simple, Audio sounds fine, although some music track can feel irritating. Controlling with keyboard and directional mouse cursor works fine for me. Precision movement and not much room for error in some levels, some are just too complicated and precised to attain gold, some levels are just too easy, even if its numbered level higher, Not too shabby puzzle game at the low price.

this game is so full of buggy shit i cant really recommend it. it frustrated me more than i enjoyed playing it. the negative: - full controller support? no not even close. i plugged in my xbox controller. i could move but not stear because it aims towards the mouse and hey, i wasnt using a mouse. - the menu is blank. it has tiles, just not any text what so ever so you have to guess what you press on. but hey. totally normal for a game which isnt in early access. - in one of the levels when you pick up the third to last ring it starts lagging like hell. going from the locked 60fps to 14-19fps. took me an hour beating the level just because you cant navigate with that lag. - the entire map fits the screen, so if you need to get close to the wall, you cant. because the mouse cant go outside the screen and therefor you wont go there. - hideous controlls, they are utter shit. turning around always does one way even though you're aiming the other way. you have to align yourself to that side before it will turn there. the positive: - looks very pretty - dirt cheap (got it for 9 cent with a 90% coupon) - fairly easy 100% achievement completion. takes 2-3 hours. - has trading cards

I absolutely recommend this game, especially for the price. I got it for 66% off after crafting a badge. This game is addictive, fun, the music is great, and you have the ability to skip tracks.. go back.. pause. It's great!! This is the perfect game to get lost in. Just old fashioned challenges. No story, no silly gimmicks. There are two moves, one is called a bump that kind of teleports you a few inches away, and the other slows down time slightly. The challenge is choosing when to use the abilities as they have recharge times. This game is great to get high and play, it's got perfect pick up and play value as well as having fun trying to beat level times. Seriously for $1 you can't beat this.

If you enjoyed Neon Space, then you'll love this one as well. Just like it's predecessor, you have to take your ship from the start of the level, and get to the end while avoiding obstacles, and not getting killed. And yes... You still feel like a lab rat, but in whole new mazes. Gameplay is simple just like the first, and yes you can still use the mouse to control the direction, and the keys to move. Graphics are very much the same as well. Simple, minimal, bright, and colorful. Good soundtrack accompanies the game as well. A cool simple single player game to chill out on. Great levels, interesting mechanics, fitting music. However, there are a lot of problems.
Gameplay

The levels aren't bad. Most of them are good, some of them a bit weird, but other than that, level design: 85/100
But. And that's a big but. The game is too short. There are only 50 levels, which seems like a lot, but honestly, It's not, because you rush through them pretty quickly. I finished the game in less that 2 hours. Game lenght: 6/100
Speaking of rushing through the game fast: It's way too easy. There are 3 possible medals to get per level, based on how quick you were. In some levels, I was 2x as fast as I was had to be to get the best medal. There's also just 1 boss fight, which also isn't hard at all. So Difficulty: 25/100 (Rating how good the difficulty is, NOT how hard it is.)

Mechanics

The controls are good. It took me just a few minutes to figure out how it works, and then I had no problems. There's not much to say about this, Controls: 100/100
And game mechanics? Also pretty good. They're pretty simple, and I really like the teleporting through deadly things. Yes, it's fun and all to fly around trying to dodge things, but it's better if you also have to press a key in time. Adds some action into.. All the action. The time slow down power was mostly useless though. Mechanics: 90/100
It was fun, but not worth the price. The full price, that is. I bought the game because I got a sale on it from a badge I got. So if you see a pretty good sale, sure, buy it. Think about it like this - you're paying for 1 - 2 hours of fun. How much money are you willing to give for that? Overall: 62/100

Pros: sound track, level design Cons: control This game is fun while it last with the neon colors and in game abilities, however when the player is given a terrible, non negotiable controls then the enjoyment of the game drops drastically.

So, I got here because of a coupon I got for the game (75%). I bought it because I like music/rhythm and bullethell games, but this a low-effort game. The controls are bad (The only way I could move was with the cursor) and there is no information for the goal. You would have to find the rules out yourself. The only thing this game is, is a minimalistic avoid-the-bad-areas game where you, as a spaceship, try to reach the end, and then the end gets moved. The game offers some challenge, but makes the challenge impossible by the hard controls. Although, i think this would shout people the best with a coupon and when it's on an 80% - 90% sale and would like something new and don't need fancyness. 1.4/10 + Seriously, none - Low-effort (1 mode only, no fancyness) - Hard controls - Not motivating the player Last words: "An uncontrollable rocketship that avoids the pink. That's all." Last last words: "Please note that I have only played the game for 9 minutes, there might've been things I have missed, but the beginning is terrible."

Neon Space 1 was better, every time you try to blink past a wall you just die because the hitbox is bigger then the actual player

Almost the same as the first part of the game
Neon Space 2 is the second part of the game since Just1337 studio. There is no need to write about this game, because everything was included in the review of the first part. The only difference between the second part and the first part is the slightly better graphics, but instead the game is easier and shorter. ✔️Price ✔️Achievements ✔️Graphics ✔️❌Soundtrack ❌Bugs ❌Shorter than the first part Time of completion: 1-2 hours Rating: 5.5/10
Follow my curator for more reviews
ATTENTION! Please note that this is only my evaluation and opinion of the game. If you do not agree with it or think that the game deserves a higher or lower rating, please leave a comment and I will be happy to respond.
