    The simplicity of it

Just not quite enough here. It is sad because with the art assets and effort put into the game otherwise it would not take many more mechnics and design elements to make this an interesting if casual game. But right now this is definitely for people who mostly just want to play something mindless.

Even though I have not played for very long, this is the same as Townopolis, and Romopolis. This game is a fun time killer game just like the others and worth the money. This game is different than the other games, but still same concept just reskinned. You can make your own custom goals, or follow the campaign and continue to finish the game. I have yet to finish all 3 of these games, but it gives me something to do when I am bored in the future. This game is casual and relaxing, and the music is really nice. If you like games like Build-A-Lot, then you will like this game.

If this game were free, I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. It is really fun for about an hour or two. After that, you have literally done everything and have no need/want to play anymore. The "campaign" is merely a long tutorial that is not necessary. The scale of the game/sandbox mode is extremely small and you are very limited in your ability to be creative. There may be DLC or something that makes this game worthwhile, but the core game itself is simplistic and has no longevity.

I like the challenges that the campaigns offer however i think that you should be able to build roads and when leaving the screen to say go check emails, it doesnt stall what its doing like demolishing a building. i wish the sandbox was bigger to be able to make a city and it had like people (not cars) moving about (think sim city) ....

Don't waste your money. You cannot build a city with this. It is timed based senerios. It plays okay, but you quickly get bored with the similarities of the senerios. There is only about 20 squares to work with, and later senerios get no larger. Snadlots are the same size.

    - a very good time management game - it took me 40 hours to solve the campaign - paid €4,- - had fun all the way - 100% solved just bought Townopolis ;-)

Not bad for the one time playthrough i've gone through - not starting other at all! However I recommend it, if the game is on a sale :)

interesting time management game. Some unusual features and it's fun to plan ahead your sandbox game. When you select sandbox game you can pick 3 goals to achieve. Some of it very hard to achieve simultaneously :) I'm glad I've bought this game, as a bonus it's in my native language with quality translation. Can't ask for more!

Meh, it's an extremely basic city building game, but if you get it on sale for 1-2€ it is actually worth it. The cards are kinda useless as the price is rather high (unless you're gonna sell them) and the achievements take a while to obtain but aren't too difficult, just boring after a while.

This is a casual building simulation. The last Lonely Troops has put out (so far) it deals with building in city environments. It is not that stressful, and works as a cooldown from more intense games (or life).

    May 31, 2018

Quite a tough one for a Lonely Troops-game... *uff* ...but I finally managed to beat it. >.< This is a city-builder sim, but unlike in SimCity or the like, there's no real "free play". You have 24 scenarios with a set of goals to achieve - and that's basically it. You still can play those scenarios in a "Free Roam"-mode with your own set of rules, but... there's nothing to gain from it. But, as you can see at my playtime, it keeps you busy for quite some time. Until you've really gotten into the mechanics, you'll play the scenarios twice, mostly: Once for the goals to finish the levels, and at least once more for the trophies. Except for the first few ones, there'll be a time limit to keep an eye on, and in some scenarios I only had few seconds left, with a playtime of like 13, 14, 15 minutes for that very scenario. So you have to be very efficient and utilize the Pause-function (press "Space") A LOT to give commands to your workers. I didn't notice any bugs, game is available in a dozen languages (and tranlations are good), so I can definitely give it a "thumbs up".

    Nov 1, 2018

I'll start by saying I consider the "About this game" blurb to be wildly misleading. It says "build dozens of houses"...only if you continually knock them down and rebuild them. The game is set in a 5 * 5 grid, making a total of 25 grids. That's it!!!! The whole game is played in 25 grids!!! And not even all of the grids can be built on. This game has been likened to Banished. Which is kind of like saying "Tic- Tac-Toe" is just like a jumbo crossword puzzle. It could have had potential had it been developed. Maybe if the grid was around 150 by 150 this might have been fun . Or maybe if the description was more accurate: build up to 25 buildings, people wouldn't buy it with the expectation that it had more substance.

Very simple but entertaining city management game, with simple but pleasant graphics. If you are looking for a Sim City, Anno or other games like that, this is not your game, it is too simple. Recommended for players who are starting in this genre or who are under 12 years old. The game is cheap, and I bought it on a sale for less than $ 1, so I recommend it. 6/10 Hey, if this review has been useful to you, you could follow me on: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38997970/

Entertaining enough. It feels like playing a city-themed puzzle game, with a timer. The challenges keep it interesting. Don't expect too much, it's a simple game, so don't expect it to feel like an actual city builder like Sim City or Caesar 3.
