NOTE: This game is very unfinished and is free for you to enjoy because we thought what is there was fun and worth you being able to tinker with.

We make no claim that this is a complete experience. It was a passion project for Chris, and a lot of time was poured into this, and we wanted to let you faff about with it. If you leave a review, then reviewing it based on what it actually

is

(a freebie tech demo) is appreciated.

Be a raptor,

feel

like one, and smash robots to bits.

Procedurally-assembled 3D environments set in a scenic futuristic dystopia.

Free release of an aborted Early Access title. We hope you enjoy it! Note that this is an AS-IS release, based on popular demand, rather than us taking it down completely.

Sell Me The Idea In One Sentence

If I have to convince you why being any form of dromaeosaurid is freaking awesome, then I'm not sure we can be friends. This game is carefully crafted to give you the closest possible feeling of being one of these glorious monsters -- then turning you loose to do fun stuff.

What’s The Point?

1. For the pure fun of the thing.

In 1993, a certain game let you be a raptor. The controls were iffy. The levels were short and static. It's very dated. Yet many of us still dust it off periodically -- just to be a raptor.

Release Raptor

gives you a far more satisfying, modern, dynamic experience.

2. For a power trip.

For speedrunning and finesse, you're on an invincible rampage. It's not about IF you can do it, but how WELL you do it. Your performance is evaluated, so mistakes still have consequences without interrupting the flow of the game.

3. To play with kids.

I want to be able to play this with my 5 year old son, but still have dismemberment (because that's cool). How to do that without blood or gore? Robots! Little robots = pouncing targets; giant mechs = dismemberment targets.

Procedural Assembly

What on earth do we mean by "procedurally-assembled?" Basically, we're using a very heavy mix of handcrafted content with procedural bits making it fresh each time.

Creating unique and recognizable areas is a huge focus, because otherwise you get unimaginative "procgen blandness." Yuck! But we still wanted that sense of exploration, and so not chunk of level is present in every run, the layouts of the overall level (and where enemies are as well) varies quite a bit.

NB: Yes, we know (and there should be feathers).

You are a raptor and can smash robots. Its fun and knowing Arcen a lot of nice updates will follow. To be a bit more precise: The procedural created 3D environments are quite good! It works really well. The robots are still pretty basic, but trying not to get hit is not too easy... The controls/feeling were quite bad at the beginning, but they improved quite a bit, after just 2 days! So all in all this is just a small funny game, but it is nice nevertheless!

There is not much to report on at the moment except a promising framework for a game to be built on. This is an alpha build so clearly this is not representative of the final game. A lot needs to change and be built on to make it a good enough game for release and I am sure it will be. Currently the way the raptor controls is crude and imprecise both in terms of movement and trying to target and attack enemies. You essentially run around some procedurally generated corridors smashing nearly everything in your path and attacking any robots you see. Once you have beaten enough robots you can then take on end of level robo brain boss and the level ends. As stated in the game itself this is only one game mode and the finished game will have more. The game in its current form is not really worth playing unless you are particularly interested in following the development but it shows enough promise that I think it could become a really fun game in the future.

Great idea that was poorly executed. Very fun mechanics and the physics look great. But the devs unfortunately have given up.

While I haven't played very much of this game, I still like the idea behind it. this is your usual Man Vs Machine war, but this time from the viewpoint of a dangerous animal. In the future, machines have overthrown mankind and are exterminating all organic life. meanwhile in a secret laboratory, scientists are evacuating because the machines are on their way to the facility. one scientist is given special orders than incase there is an emergency, one of the experiments is to be released. a Raptor. Want to know the coolest part about this game? you're the Raptor! When the game starts, all the Humans have left the facility and the machines are already inside. you must destroy the machines until you reach your goal. Keep in mind this game is still a W.I.P. so there isn't a lot to it at the moment. the controls are a little difficult because they can be sensitive at times and you'll keep walking into walls when you're trying to go through the door and it's even harder when fighting enemy robots. but I'm sure the controls will be improved over time. There is a lot of potential in this idea of dinosaurs being involved in a Man Vs Machine war. while this game isn't very much yet, it could still be something worthwhile in the future.

I thought this game was gonna be cool, It was not it sucked. I can hardly see anything in this game, wam wam wam... You kill annoying robots and find father brain. Not much to look at since the game was left to rot and turned into a free to play game. Whats left in the game is a little bit of fighting and it becomes more of a scavenger hunt to find the enemies you missed. This game would have been fun and cute if it wasn't abandoned. We need more non human games like this to be popular and fine-tuned. I wonder why this game didn't catch on to where they just pulled the plug.
