It's a 45 minutes epilogue. If you enjoy the game, you should pick it up if you want more. It's in line with the first DLC.

The second Homefront: the Revolution DLC, "Aftermath", is out and has you back in control of Brady following the events of the main game. Revolutionary hero Walker, who was captured by the KPA in the main story, is still creating Korean propaganda broadcasts and you plan to free him and bring him back into the Resistance -- or eliminate him if he has actually turned traitor to the cause. Mechanically, there's nothing new to talk about here. The enemies are the same KPA you've always seen, the weapons are the same (with a few shut off such as the mine launcher) and the maps are a linear set of streets and buildings. Though not as obviously restrictive as the subway tunnels in "Voice of Freedom", there is still no open map or new zones as such although buildings such as the radio station are new themselves. There's a wave fight with a small twist but not one that you're in control of. Like "Voice of Freedom", my "Not Recommended" rating doesn't really reflect the game play (which was fine; more of the same) but rather the value for the asking price. Is an hour long DLC that brings little new to the game worth $6? I don't think so. Is it worth playing if you already own the Season Pass/Freedom edition? Sure. But the devlopers need to step up their game for the final DLC to give it value that makes it worth purchasing on its own merits.

The second in the series of three Homefront: The Revolution 'mini-stories', Aftermath provides a fitting resolution to the dropped plotpoint of Walker's capture, where you, Ethan Brady (Now with good voice acting!), carry out a daring rescue of Walker. I was, however, disappointed with the lack of new characters, the incredible climax more than made up for it (As well as getting Cookie out of the subway for once!). While quite a bit longer than 'The Voice of Freedom', Aftermath provides a similarly satisfying experience that is superior to the original story. 86/100

Got this through the expanison pass. Though it is short like many people say it is an interesting mission especially for people like me who love the story and lore of this game. Pros -Interesting mission -Interesting story -another lovely looking map Cons -Very short mission -nothing new enemy wise I beat it in around one or two hours but trying to the all the achievements for it I'll probably sink a few more into it. Is it worth 5$? Yea but if its on sale it wouldn't hurt to get it.

    Oct 18, 2017

You get a fun motorcycle sequence in the beginning, then a pretty hard linear mission to free Walker. The finale was intense. Worth playing and getting the game with the dlc bundle.

Too short, less content than in the base game, linear, voiced main character. Less than an hour long, not worth the money.

Way to short for the price. Its good so i suggest you pick it up when its on sale.

    Nov 30, 2020

Aftermath, while not huge in its content, is a meaningful story DLC that places you back in the boots of Ethan Brady, now fully voiced and on a mission to assassinate Walker, the protagonist of the first game and now anti-resistance ghost of the main Revolution game. It's a somewhat jarring change, especially if you've played the prior 12-hour campaign without experiencing a single line being spoken before. While not building in any comprehensive way on the foundation of the core gameplay mechanics, Aftermath largely focuses its aim on Brady's journey, with a little story arc involving some secondary characters in a way that leaves you feeling satisfied by its conclusion. The aesthetic is more of the same, but with a greater emphasis on ruins and the relationship the KPA has with those they've captured. The challenge, particularly in Aftermath's finale, is surprising and can be a tough one on higher difficulties! All in all, while questionable at full price, Aftermath is a meaningful DLC and if you enjoy the main game, its story and characters, you'll want to play this. Best bought as part of the Expansion Pass!
“As long as people will accept crap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it.” ~Dick Cavett
Deep Silver asked for the DLC. Because that's what publishers do. Dem bast... I mean, Dambuster Studios gave them DLC. Nobody said anything about it being good, right? Not much to say here, really. It's pretty much exactly the same thing with previous DLC (The Voice of Freedom). Minus game-breaking bug. Feel free to check my Voice of Freedom review for more details, but long story short – it's a stand-alone “story” (this time we've got a sequel instead of prequel but since story was never a strong point of Homefront: Revolution, it's not like it makes any difference) with no gameplay connection to the main game and... pretty much everything removed or disabled. No open world (ish) stuff, no outposts, no proper gun customization, etc, etc, etc. You just run forward and shoot. That's pretty much it. And even though, like I said, this time there's no nasty game-breaking bugs, it's still thirty minutes long crap that was made just to get more money from you. Again, even if you liked the main game (like I did), you do not need this. Dixi.

This dlc is much in line with the 1st, super short (around 40-50 minutes), 1 mission that felt like cut content, and that mission is one of the best from a story and gameplay standpoint. This DLC further showcases the missed potential of homefront the revolution to be an amazing game, vs it just being a great one. The premise of the mission is very interesting, and the gameplay is varied within the mission. it also fixed the biggest flaw with homefront, IT GIVES ETHAN A VOICE. not only that, but hes likeable and the voice totally fits him, it completley fixes the no. 1 flaw with the game, and man the game wouldve been much better if ethan was voiced like he is here. i would really recommend this DLC, wait for it and the base game to go on sale, you can pick up the expansion pass and base game for like 11 bucks, play voice of freedom before base game, then play the whole base game then this and the last DLC. it also fixes walker as a character, and makes me care about him a lot, this shouldve been the 50-60% mark of the story, as it shows how much potential there was to continue the story, hopefully there is a sequel.
