    In the final months of World War II, 14-year-old Seita and his sister Setsuko are orphaned when their mother is killed during an air raid in Kobe, Japan.         A very touching story covering the day to day life from the perspective of a young boy and his sister as one of the many victims of circumstance that resulted from the effects of world war 2 on the civilian population of Japan. You will cry, or have a lump in your throat.

        A devastating story detailing the hardships of war on everyday folk in WW2 era Japan. Executed brilliantly with great music, pace and emotive animations, this is a highly recomended film that will leave you with tears on your face.
