Night Environment completely revolutionizes night flying in the FSX: Steam Edition world. Using a series of databases, Night Environment adds brilliant, realistic lighting to your simulator. Hundreds of thousands of lights clearly show how highways connect to cities and how smaller roads meander through neighbourhoods. Visual navigation at night becomes a real treat – it’s even easier than flying VFR during daytime, as it often is in the real world.

The Night Environment database contains many more real-life roads than default FSX, illuminating roads which are not visible during the daytime. All lights are visible for up to 60 miles, creating an authentic and dazzling flying experience featuring 3D effects.

Night Environment: California for FSX: Steam Edition includes full coverage of California, and the Night Environment Manager v1.8, which is a separate configurator tool accessed via the Steam tools menu allowing you to adjust night lighting brightness, glow and colour hues.

    Due to the sheer size of California, this DLC actually causes KSX to not respond even in the daytime setting of the fllight and if trying to load a night flight in California, forget it. I thought it was a interesting addon, but even flying into Californian Airspace from somewhere else, the scenery lags to the point that it is no longer usable.

    At first FSX would not load at, or around LAX. North Calif. loaded good. Also far south loaded. I uninstalled & reloaded. Now all working good.

    Could never get it to work. It would crash FSX when loading scenery, even if this was the only addon installed. Spent some time with the publisher troubleshooting, but nothing came of it. Ended up uninstalling. Steam wouldn't give a refund since we spent more than 2 hours troubleshooting the addon, so I'm stuck with a useless addon. I will give props to the publisher though. He really tried to help, but they don't make the installers, so he couldn't do much. Win1064, i7 6700k, 32GB, SSD, GTX 1060/6GB

    Read the reviews and thought since it was on sale it would work, i have the florida night enviroment add-on so i thought it would perform as well, but i was very wrong, just as stated by othe users it locks up fsx and all i could do to get fsx back up was to uncheck from add-on and not use. Tried several installs and also ran file integrity app nothing works nothing!!
