Very good DLC, worth the money. Highly detailed and most things are pressable. Little bit tough to fly. Havent figured out how to open the cargo door yet. Only one bug: Sometimes the plane descents very rapidly out of nowhere in mid flight. Just turn the autopilot off and on again should fix it tho. Happend to me 2 out of 5 flights.

If you love the Air Force and Cargo Planes you will most likely love this plane. Not all the features work but that is expected from FSX. To open the cargo ramp press shift+E then 2 immediately after. In all, Great product to buy if you like the Air Force and Cargo Planes.

Great aircraft, flies like a feather. Only thing to be cautious of is the actual in flight weight. When taking off or landing it's important to reber that 100% fuel equals 250,000 LBS (approx.) so watching the airspeed indicator is important, and being gentle is equally important. Other than that it's my favorite plane in the game and has beautiful flaps when set to FULL.

Nice aircraft, good value for the money, though note it's an update of a legacy product by Virtavia previously available for FSX, so it's not quite as nicely done as more recent products for FSX, however the sound quality is second to none! Also this Steam version includes only one paint scheme, though you can purchase several more repaints from Virtavia for $9.00. I opened a support ticket with Virtavia because I had trouble manaully starting the engines. Virtavia was responsive and patent. After some research I determined that I wasn't starting with a fully cold & dark cockpit. A FLT file I downloaded from: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/1345/fsx-cold-and-dark-cockpit-mod/ fixed the issue,

This DLC is awesome, the airplane looks awesome! The 3D cockpit is really detailed. You can open the cargo door, left/right parachute door and another door (i guess for the pilots or something). Im not a real pilot, so I have no idea about realism. This plane is really easy to fly (I like to be challenged however, so that part is a bit boring), but landing on a really short runway is a nice challenge :P.

This DLC leaves ALOT to be desired... If you just want the aircraft, that's cool, but don't expect any good liveries. You're given the basic grey, with no decals or markings. If you do want new liveries either make them yourself or buy the packs from other sim websites. However, the actual model itself is excellent. The landing gear moves how it should, the slats come out, spoilers act correctly when turning, and overall they did a decent job. But there's a lot of stuff missing as well though. Strobing recognition lights, retractable nose and winglet lights, APU door doesnt open, proper flowlines, and lastely no freakin liveries! The flight model seems decent, ILS and all of the fancy stuff works. It's really easy to fly both VFR and IFR, and everything just feels right. All in all I give this a solid 7/10... Even with all the stuff that was either missed or just not put into the model, the plane is definitely worth buying when it's on sale. Until they put more liveries in the steam shop here, this will stay a solid 7/10 in my eyes. Simply because I love this plane, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone on the fence about it.

What is up with all the dlc's with auto pilot issues. This is another one. You take off, file a flight plan, get pointed in the right direction, set the auto pilot, sit back and relax and start to enjoy the flight.......wait a minute, why am I diving? what happened to the AP? What, what, what? ANOTHER plane with an ap issue. WTF?

Wow, 500,000 plus pounds of fighter like agility, and STOL awesomeness! Typical Virtavia, only one bland livery. And, this one is lacking a bit in the clickable department (everything is clickable via 2-D panels, but not in VC). I recomend it, yes, but on sale. You definately won't regret it then. I'm keeping it.

Great addon aircraft with a highly detailed cockpit, animations, and flight model. [b]A few negative things to note about this aircraft:[/b] [list] [*]the ILS system does a horrible job maintaining the glideslope [*]the 2d panel to control altitude, speed, etc. does not match the 3d cockpit [*]unable to arm spoilers when landing, switch is INOP and keyboard shortcut to arm only puts them to full [*]HUD brightness does not scale with daytime conditions and the brightness knob doesn't get bright enough [/list] Doors can be opened by pressing SHIFT+E then 1,2,3,4

you ripped me off. where are all the paints virtavia had with this? the c-17 is available on SIMMARKET for $10, and has ALL 11 paints originally offered 5 YEARS AGO!!! here i was, supporting you, and i get crap. i can hardly wait for the new sim.

Save your money! This is a glitchy DLC. It was a free model and now they charge £19 for it!?!? Its got one colour scheme which is just grey. The doors only work sometimes when you press Shift and E then chose 1 through 4. Cockpit is basic. Back ramp view is the only cool thing and it doesnt even go all the way down. Once its turned off i couldnt turn it back on.
