  This is a really nice add-on! The flight model is nice (still a bit optimistic) and unforgiving. All essential systems are there and it's nice to look around and adjust the engines, propeller RPM, autopilot, etc. It's not a complicated aircraft and it's easy to figured out what you need to do to fly it (I was in the air after 5 minutes looking at the switches and gauges). It worth it!!!

  I'm afraid I can't give this a rave review. The quality of the textures is comparable to an aircraft from IL2 1946 released 10 years ago. Still, the flights can be fun and challenging and at this reduced sale price it is worth adding to the hangar.

  After purchasing, I can not get the Boeing B-29 Superfortress to download. I can not find any online Tech Support. Very disappointing.

  The real airplanes had auto pilots and the one on this model works. (no auto approach capability). The left panel has no ILS instrument so you can't even shoot a manual ILS. The real airplane had this capability. You are left with only a visual approach which is quite difficult. I would not recommend this airplane and will send it to the back of my hangar along with the F-106.

  Really like this addon! If you go to one of the FS shops online and purchase the Virtavia B-29 DLC, it comes with all the other B-29 paints including the Enola gay!

  i love the plane and i love fsx the only thing i do not like is not being able to add skins i wish there were skins compatable with this DlC but other than that great plane i do have one more question can you drop the bombs on the plane or no?

  I brought this aircraft and I loved it up until I tried to take it off. Which i learned wasn't that ealy as it likes to veir off to the left uncontrolably. If the maker of this aircraft is reading can you please adress this issue or tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

  I tried and tried to like this model, because visually it's quite appealing. But the plane is not able to be flown due to its tendency to pull very hard to the left. Don't buy it, waste of your money.

  Hell yea! I love this! It's a quality model. It's not overly complicated to the point that it's impossible to play with, and it's not too simple. The autopilot works well and makes it a wonderful experience. It has a great crusing speed (65% throttle because there's no autothrottle) and has very very good fuel consumption.

  i love this plane, but don't buy it from steam, a quick search online will show another website to buy it from for slightly more than this version, but that version gives you the skin pack that you're getting ripped off of in this DLC in it's base version.

  Its okay. Only includes one livery. Very few effects such as engine smoke. Good at $6 but I wouldnt pay more. Used it once or trwice then got bored.

  This aircraft is something you want in your hanger. This model is the Virtavia B-29 but without the extra skin. If you plan on buying this airplane buy it at FlightSim Pilot shop. It cost $18.00 and comes with the default metal skin and a Dina Might Skin. To get more skins buy there is a pack with 2 new models and 7 new liveries $14. The steam edition on here seems to reject the additional skins. 10/10 model and sounds. But buy it from FSpilot shop.

  I would have given this a 5 Star Rating, BUT! It gets 1 Star Only. One Paint, one texture. All in DDS format. Unless you want to spend the time like I did to convert DDS to BMP extended in 32 bit format(good luck with this,read more), your out of luck. The model itself is outstanding, however, somewhere, and somehow, DLC has managed to prevent you from doing the above conversion. I KNEW BETTER then to buy this direct through Steam, I should have bought the Complete package with skins from another source, which there are multiple sources for this out there. DLC, you need to get your act together, and should be ashamed of yourselves....ONE PAINT??? Come on, Spend the extra 24 bucks and buy this somewhere else. The Paint is BLANK, you could have at least put something on it. This is a Major Bummer as it is a very nice aircraft otherwise. For me, there is a definate lesson here to be learned, I will NOT buy ONE more thing through here again for sure. In fact other Flight Simulators are looking better and better everyday these ridiculous protocols continue........Enough said about that!!!

  This iconic bomber is a must have for anybody who appreciates classic bombers. This B29 has nice molding inside and out but no liveries. It handles like expected for a massive (for the time) bomber and is a real joy to fly around. Several internal views for the various crew positions and if you look closely you can see the tail gunner guy. It seems like they nailed the flight characteristics but since I’ve never touched a B29 there is no wa6 I could be certain, but based on what I know about the plane it seems right.

  I like this plane very much. It's a pleasure to fly. But do yourself a favor and purchase somewhere else. At least then you'll have other skins and repaints and textures. What you get here is a base skin with no markings or paint.

  There's some good things, and some bad things about this aircraft. On the first flight before take off, I was impressed with the design of the cockpit, and the sound design for the interior and exterior. However while taking off, I noticed the same problem that many other people have been having, the plane keeps wanting to veer to the left, so I have to hold my rudder slightly to the right to counter this, and I can't find the rudder trim setting. Other than that, the plane is controllable, it has a good realistic turning radius, and I was able to clime very smoothly. After a little bit of straight and level flying, I decided to test how the plane would act during some kind of failure. So I set a few cylinders to fail in the 3 engine in 5 minutes, and then an engine fire to happen in 10 minutes. The cylinders I set failed right when I wanted them too, and then a few minutes later, the fire came up. After that, I went through an emergency engine shut down procedure. First I selected the engine to use the fire extinguisher on, then I closed all magnetos, shut down the ignition for that engine, and closed the fuel system for engine 3. Then I shut the engine down, and all of a sudden, the aircraft went into a random spiral that I was able to recover from, but I was extremely confused by what just happened, because that wouldn't happen in real life. Then when I looked back at my engine gauges, I saw that engine 1 had shutdown with engine 3. And this is where it gets worse, when I restarted engine 1, the aircraft, again, went into an uncontrollable spiral that over stressed the aircraft. I know for sure that wouldn't happen in real life. This aircraft is a good flier but it has some serious issues in its programming that needs to be sorted out. I'm 50/50 on this aircraft, I'm satisfied with the overall design of the sound and the aircraft, design however is subjective, the ability to control the aircraft, and realism of its simulator is objective, and once again, needs to be fixed, because I'm close to saying that this was a waste of $13.00. The B-29 is one of my top 3 favorite WWII bombers, and I would love to have one for FSX that behaves like it does in real life.
