Decent Idea, Poor Execution, Worth The $1
FootRock is a game where you run past and jump over obstacles to reach the end of the level, and move on to the next. There's 150 levels, which take less than 45 seconds to finish, but some might take a couple tries, with some being surprisingly difficult. While the gameplay is all right and there being a good amount of bugs, some quite annoying, the low price tag and decent amount of content available just makes the game worth getting if you're interested in what you see.
Gameplay
The gameplay is very basic. Get to the end of the level without dying. To do this you can move left and right and jump while the game automatically has you sprinting forward towards the finish. There are a few obstacles you will come up against like people trying to tackle you, walls, pits of lava, and ducks that will chase you. There isn't a lot of variety in obstacles or level design so after the first 50 or so levels you will have seen everything the game has to offer. Some levels will be so easy you can beat it by walking in a straight line but then the next level could have a massive spike in difficulty. It very much feels like an endless runner mobile game such as subway surfers simply chopped into individual bite sized levels.
Bugs
The game clearly was rushed and had little quality assurance. There is no settings option so if you want to turn the music down you'll have to open up the systems task manager to do it which was quite annoying. Sometimes after you complete a level your cursor will spasm and be unusable. This happens A LOT! Luckily it is easily fixed by alt + tabbing out of the window and reopening it but it got quite annoying after doing it for the 10th time in 30 minutes. At seemingly random times your character will stop running and kind of freeze the animation and glide across the field instead. While this doesn't affect the gameplay at all, it's weird and slightly annoying. These just show the lack of polish of the game, but there wasn't anything too game breaking.
Conclusion
For $1, FootRock is all right as a decent distraction for an hour or two. The gameplay and level design is very basic and there's some random difficulty spikes and a large amount of bugs but because the price tag is so small, if you're interested in it at all and want something different for an afternoon, FootRock might be the game for you. Obvious Mobile Port without Microtransactions (that I'm aware of) Controls are subpar, the interface is terrible, anything you can buy with coins is just different skins etc. Avoid at all costs. I'm gonna be refunding this game straight away.

It's a footballer gauntlet game where you run to hit targets, while avoiding obstacles and other NPC players. I found the graphics engaging, and the gameplay very novel. See gameplay https://youtu.be/etFRkrziDsI

    Pros:

Price
Easy achievements
Fun
Nice music
New stages are being added
Cons:

Music stops if you are on the same stage for a while
Achievements only unlock once you exit the game
Mouse glitch at the end of some levels (but can be easily fixed)
Conclusion: I'm an achievement collector and this is basically why I bought the game, but I don't think my money was wasted, as I played the game for about 3-4 hours which is good for the price, thus I recommend it

FootRock is an alright game for achievement hunters. It's not too fun on it's own if played for any reason other than achievement hutning, and while not plagued by bugs or issues with physics (something too common in 60 cent bargain bin sale games), this game just isn't fun beyond the achievements you gain. You finish your achievements list after only about 1/3 of the total game's levels, there are no collectible-related achievements for coins. This means that all you have to do to 100% this game is progress through the levels without worrying about the coins along the way, which makes some levels substantially easier. I'm recommending this game solely on the basis that you're playing it for achievements or completionist prestige, if you are, this is a pretty fun game to play, again, I didn't feel frustrated or jipped on a lot of my deaths, and knew what I did wrong and how to correct it. It's worth the <1 hour you will put in to finish the achievements list.

Pros -Game can be for the first few levels -Easily obtainable achievements for you achievement hunters! -Currency system Cons -The game lacks any motive and or drive to keep playing. -The shop for currency is lackluster considering that there are only three items. - Wonky physics -Levels lack difficulty -Game breaking glitch where the game locks your cursor in the middle of the screen preventing you from going to the next level and the only way to avoid this is to ALT+TAB out and in which is a downside to anyones expirence old or young! Overall I think this game could be fun for kids under twelve or for a quick buy to waste some time getting achievements or trading cards, but, I have to say this game didn't quite hit the mark for me. So no, I don't recommend this game.

Plain old terrible. Major issues as others have stated. Music randomly stops. ZERO options. Want to change keys? Nope. Want to lower the god awful music (when it's actually playing)? NOPE. And my favourite is the cursor randomly not working. Having to alt-tab to get my cursor back just to hit "continue" to move to the next level. Just terrible. ONLY redeeming quaility is if you want easy achievements. 1 per completed level. Even for $1, not worth it.
