Dynasty Feud is a competitive, team-based, fast-paced platform brawler for 2-4 players. Play either local or online and show off your skills with 40 characters, one-hit kills, multiple fighting skills and a lot of style.

OK, but... what does that mean? Well, Dynasty Feud is different from other brawlers out there, taking inspiration from several genres to offer an experience that is faster, leaner, and a lot of fun!

Beat other dynasties in the ultimate battle between time periods in free-for-all and team matches.

Customize your own dynasty in the ALL-STAR MODE.

Challenge other players in quick ONLINE matches or rise to the top in RANKED MODE.

Master all 40 CHARACTERS of the 8 DYNASTIES currently available!

In Dynasty Feud you won’t pick a character to fight, you will pick a whole dynasty formed by 5 of them. The characters are your life bar, if you lose all of them, that’s it, you are done. What, really? No way! And they die fast, really fast, REALLY REALLY FAST; one hit and that character is gone. Yeah, gone. The next character will appear, but it will be a totally different one, with its own weaknesses and strengths.

Value your characters and measure your movements carefully. Knowing their capacities and how to use them is as important as knowing your enemies. Plus there are 40 like this, so... have fun. A miscalculated jump, a surprise burst or missed attack can be the difference between death and glory. Uuuhh, that sounded serious.

Each character is unique. Each character plays different. Each dynasty is special.

From melee juggernauts to sneaky snipers, along with invisible ninjas and a TNT-loving cactus, a true Dynasty Master can adapt to any opponent by making the most of each of its family members.

Let's see who they are shall we...

The Cartwrongs are specialized in LONG and MEDIUM RANGE bullet attacks. Their key to victory is to keep enemies away by using their zoning abilities.

The Yngling Clan is a well balanced dynasty that specializes in very strong MELEE and effective MEDIUM RANGE THROWS, as well as good defense and mobility.

With a good mix of PROJECTILE, EXPLOSIVES and MELEE, the Fancier's Crew are a pretty balanced bunch.

The Nekoyama-Shi is the most MOBILE dynasty in the game, with excellent MELEE aptitudes to boot. Take advantage of both.

The Uurg Aaarg members are a mixed bunch with decent PROJECTILE and mid range capacity, as well as some powerful MELEE options. They are hard to control, but powerful once you master them.

The House of Arthur is an exceptionally resilient dynasty, with many of its members having shield and armor. They do sacrifice mobility and reach.

The People of the Sun's main strength is in their powerful SUPER FEUD attack, in which each character gains a special power, coupled with their ability to sacrifice themselves to automatically fill the SUPER FEUD meter.

The Project X-22 subjects rely on their unique mind power mechanic. They spend mind energy to attack, which they then need to recharge. However, if they have enough mind energy saved up, they can withstand a hit. Probably the trickiest dynasty to master.

I went into this game thinking it could nail the Smash Bros feeling like the actual Smash Bros on nintendo 64, but it doesn't feel like it, every character you get thrown to use, dies instantly and you have to use another character, it's not like you have time to strategize and love that character, it's just a character that is bound to die, and then you are FORCED to use a character that you might dislike, I really don't think it's a good idea for a game to force you to play as a team when you coud play them separately and respawn as the character that you like. I do not know, maybe it's not my style but it could be fun if you are interested in a game that involves Team characters, you might like it with friends but for it's price I can't really recommend it. I thought you could play with just one but it seems to not be the case here, I might purchase it when it goes on sale tho, but for now it's a no for me

The game is certainly entertaining and well done. I definetely recommend this to play with your friends. When you kill someone you really feel how much have annoyed him. And you see how his ghost is haunting you trying desperately to fight you. I really love how you can use the environment in your advantage. For example, I was going to be killed by a players final movement, I foreseed it, so when he activated it, I threw my character to the train rails, so I could escape and come back to hit him with my viking spear! Also the music is awesome, I would like themed music depending on which Dynasty wins, that would be great. I only wish I could pick up props/corpses from the environment to throw them and hit my friends with the corpses of their ancestors.

A really interesting surprise. I expected a fun experience, but it turned out to be deeper than that. The variety that the 40 characters offer and the nuances each of them have can make the combat more complex that it might seem at first. It is the kind of game I like to play with my friends, fun for beginners and deep for more harcore fighting players. Only having one life gives dynamism to the battles, because as soon as you lose a character you need to think about who will be the next one. The movements and attacks of each character are simple to execute, but timing and deciding which one to use can be crucial (this is where the hardcore gamers shine). This is the game that perfectly meets the "easy to get, hard to master". It might seem overwhelming at the beginning with the amount of characters you need to learn about (and maybe there is some of that), but for me the initial learning process was really smooth. The main flaw the game has is the lack of a single player mode. I did not miss it much, but I think it needs to be pointed out. To sum up I really recommend this game for those who like to beat their friends!

This game really nails the "easy to play, hard to master" mantra. It succeeds at being accessible to all kind of players, but at the same time it excels at rewarding dedication and mastery. It's one hit one kill mechanic is easy to grasp, and the aparent (only aparent) simplicity of mechanics makes for an easy adaptation into the game. However, when you deepen into the game and realize the great amount of attacks and animations that really are available, you understand that there is much to be learned and mastered in this game. Apart from the main fighting mechanics, the fact that you play as a whole Dynasty at once expands the possibilities even more. In order to become a competitive player, you will need to master not only every champion inside your dynasty, but also the champions of the opposing dynasties. This way, you will be able to wisely select your next champion to respawn once you die and counter your adversaries. It can be enjoyed as a single screen local multiplayer, or online multiplayer. From my experience, the online aspect seems to be lacking some optimization, as I have experienced a couple issues while playing online. Though it works without problems most of the time and the local experience is just superb. If you are into game lores, this game also includes a "Codex", which gives an accurate description of all the ~40 champions and also some tips. I really enjoyed reading through it. Conclusion: Easy to play, but with a lot of depth to satisfy serious players. Playing as a dynasty really makes for an strong tactical aspect. Original champions and mechanics. Some online conectivity issues. Can definitely work as a party game. Recommended.

THIS GAME. Amazing! Don't be fooled by the looks, and you'll be in for a real treat. At first glance, it has a weird learning curve, since characters keep dying fast while one is trying to understand how to control them. But once you play a few matches, you'll find yourself adapting your playstyle for each of the 5 dynasty members, choosing which one comes next in order to avenge your recent misfortunes, which leads to... Pissing people off while in death timer is just SO MUCH FUN! Plus you get to strategically position yourself (death timer player-controlled dynasty ghost spawns each member) which depends entirely on what you're planning to do next. Is she the archer? Place yourself where your arrows hit your enemies but their proyectiles can't reach you. Is he the tornado dude? Purge the scenario of pesky cowboys by falling from top to bottom. I do believe this "metagame" layer makes the game trully special (must try tbh). P.S. If you happen to be curious, just pick a different dynasty. It's like playing an entirely different game. And it remains great.

I had a chance to round up my TowerFall buddies last night and play Dynasty Feud in my living room using Steam Big Picture and a bunch of PS4 controllers. This game rocks. Dynasty Feud combines the sustained, tactical tension we love about TowerFall's one-hit-kill mechanic with the stage and character diversity of a Smash Bros. The "dynasty" mechanic--coming back to life as a new character with a different move set each time you die--is brilliant. It constantly shifts the feel of each match, and adds an almost Overwatch-like strategic layer to "hero selection" as you attempt to counter the other player's current fighter in real time. One of my friends is an illustrator, and he was blown away by Dynasty Feud's character design, to the point where he was wishing there was a single-player campaign. I myself could care less about story modes in brawlers, but it speaks to the strength of the characters that they make you naturally curious about their back stories. The art style and overall tone reminds me of Guacamelee!, another favorite. We're looking forward to our next play session. We unlocked all of the clans except for the aliens! Right now I'd say we're in that fun discovery stage of a fighting game, learning each fighter's moves. Because the pace of the game is so fast (that's a good thing), you may initially experience some frustrating spawns, where you basically die right away before you figure out what's cool about your character. But when you do have that Eureka moment, like, "I can move around as this devastating tornado!,", "I can reflect projectiles with my stubby punches", or "I have a shield instead of a dodge!", it's very rewarding. At first we thought the supers were OP, but after some experimenting we realized you can dodge, and in some cases shield-block, the ultimate abilities. If the game is this fun now, I can only imagine what it will be like when we know what we're doing.

This game is really really fun. If you like to play with friends and if you are competitive player in lan or online you will like it(without any doubts). It's a game where you will get the mechanics very easy and the variety of dynasties and characters will give you many hours of fun. If you are wondering if you should invest money in this game, my answer is YES. A VERY BIG YES! See you in RANKED games dude! ;)

Surprisingly fun, it's simple but alltogether with all the dynasties it has a lot of variety. Easy to begin and so entertaining, once you start playing you just can't stop. Pros: It is really a lot of fun, it has a lot of different characters with their own style of playing each one and the all stars mode is just terrific. Cons: It is more enjoyable with a controller, you can play it and have a lot of fun with the keyboard. But if you do have a controller you should use it in this game.

It was a dissapointing start when I realized Dynasty Feud wasn´t exactly a brawler but a team based mini fighting game, but once you get in you cannot stop playing. I played for more than 30 minutes to feel confortable with all at least four characters of the same dynasty :) All dynasties are not available from the beginning, but it´s about playing and winning matches and after playing more than an hour I unlocked almost all of them. Losing a character unfairly or just a second after respawning may be frustrating, but this is also what makes Dynasty Feud different and a real challenge. Some online matches with 4 dynasties playing are lagged and sometimes unplayable, but in general I was able to play correctly. Awesome music and art style!

Dynasty Feud is a fun multiplayer game ideal to enjoy with your friends. It's a arcade brawler that has a great variety of fighters divided into 8 dynasties, very different from each other. So, you need time to practice and learn the best strategies for each character. A highly recommended game.
TLDR:
You can kill your friends with dynamite playing as a cactus!! [strike]100%[/strike] 110% will recommend.
Serious TLDR:
A superb indie game, giving some fresh air to the 'smashlike' genre. Creative, entertaining, innovative, and memorable. For noobies like me easy to pick up and lots of nimble content to master for the hardcore audience.
Review:
As a player, I am not much of a fan of the overexploited fighting game genre. I find them too similar, meaning that there are few variances of the core gameplay (attack, health damage, combos, die, repeat). The addition of dynasties, 1 hit deaths, and hilariously comic characters are some of the great calls that the indie studio made. Yet another core highlight is that there is always something to be looking at during the gameplay. When a player dies, the respawn mechanic allows the dead player to annoy and strategically place themselves. This makes death yet another mechanic on itself, leveraging the game rhythm. No boring interludes, time The community seems great so far. I hope to see the title grow and evolve, as sometimes there is a lack of online players which causes some delay between matches.

Dynasty Feud is the best platform arena fighting game steam has to offer, and one of the best local multiplayer games as well. While games like Towerfall and Samurai Gunn rekindled interest in this style of game, years later other developers have managed to surpass these games. Kaia Studios have done just that with Dynasty Feud. It is therefor a shame that some of the newer entries to the genre have not been able to gain as much traction as the earlier releases. Dynasty Feud deserves a similar following. The twist offered by Dynasty Feud is that instead of picking a character, you pick a team. Each team is balanced, has their own playstyle, and has stronger and weaker characters. Each game starts with a spawn countdown, in which you can select the character on your team that you wish to spawn, and after death you can also select your new character (as well as cast a team-unique taunt before spawning). This gives some extra tactical depth as well, as you can select a character well suited to dealing with a particularly difficult enemy. Combat is relatively simple, with only two attacks per character - however each character is different so in any one match you get to use a range of different skills. The fact that you have a suit of characters means that the game modes are centred around survival rather than kills. However Dynasty Feud deals with this by issuing stars when a character scores a kill or dies. At five stars you can cast your team's super attack - which is a very effective tool. With 8 teams and 40 characters, the game has a lot of playability. If you like this style of game, Dynasty Feud is a must have.

This game feels to me like an unfinished product. And even though I bought it on sale it felt like a waste of money sadly..
