Very good game, and the developer is constantly working on it (unlike, it seems, many other early-access games). It's great for anyone who's been into those bridge building games, or physics based games, or even just racing/off road car games. Pros: - Virtually bug free, which is fantastic for early-access. - Excellent physics modelling; everything behaves how you should expect it to, and behaves accurately. - Best integration with the Steam Workshop that I've seen in-game. Already a lot of user-made creations. - Custom maps available, though the standard map has a lot of different terrain to get you going. - Level of "OCD" is up to you; you can build a car pretty quick (or customize a default or steam Workshop car) and get racing, or spend hours tweaking every little aspect and getting things just right to shave a second or two off your laps. - Very familiar GUI/controls to anybody who has used a CAD program before. 3-window modelling space is a great idea and works very well to let you see what you're doing. Cons: - Graphics could be better. Based on my framerates, this game could increase its textures and add some better shaders without being a hinderance to even mid-level PCs. - GUI needs an update; the menus and buttons look a bit like an old Windows 95 strategy game or something. - No controller support (YET. This is on the Dev's ToDo list, so check the details and discussions to see if it's been implemented when you read this if controller support is a must-have). Having said that, due to the nature of the off-road racing, the keyboard isn't nearly as annoying to use as a road racing game for the time being.

This a great game, although I know some things that could only make it greater. Now, if you were going for a simple, realistic car building/ testing game, then you've done well. But here is a list of 5 things that would only make the game better. 1) Water Make the abilty for there to be randomly generated water on the default maps. This could be seen as oceans, lakes, streames, ponds, or even rivers(be even cooler if the water flowed, and moved your car). You would also want there to be the point where if you get water into your intake (more on that in a second) then your car would die. Lastly, you would want to make optional, for the people whose computers may have trouble running too much. 2) Intake Another idea is intakes. They are quite simple. They bring in the air for the engine. One thing you could also do, is make it so that, depending where they are placed, they can get better air flow. 3) Exaust You could tune it, make it louder, or just cut it off. This would really just be for fun. 4) Defomable Ground You could add some sort of vairable texture, or something, where as the ground could move out from under you. You could also add mud with the water update (if you made that a thing). It would be cool to have something where you were driving through mud, then you spun out, and gou stuck. you could also add diffrent ground textures to go with this. You could work on the sand, add gravel , mud, and other stuff too, like tall grass. 5) Winch The last thing that I would like to include is a winch. I wouldn't care about this one as much the other things, but some other people might. That just about wraps it up. Although lastly I would like to add that you could also add trees, and bushes, and other stuff.

The game is awesome for someone like me. I love cars and how they work, and I love to sketch out concepts on paper. Using my design skills and knowledge of cars helped me to create my first 3 designs in a few hours. ...and if you have ADHD like me, you will probably find yourself attaching jets to the sides of your design 5 minutes after building it. 10/10 would make cars fly again.

This is an awesome game for anyone who is creative and wants to design their own vehicles. I love to experiment with different types of suspensions and try to make my cars perform as well as possible, and I like to try to invent my own suspensions and ways of making a vehicle move. I bought the game when it was on sale (25% off) but I would pay the full $15 for it if I had known exactly how great this game was. It is now my favorite computer game by far!

This game is definitely a recommender for people who love cars, jets, or anything like that. I played the free 2D Evo version, and had a lot of fun. The fact that this game is now in 3D is even better. In short: I love this game The game can be a little bit complicated from time to time, but after you know the basics, it gets easier. (I still have trouble with the suspension :p) Now, don't be all "oh no, this game is crappy, it's broken", because it isn't broken, yes, it may lack a bit of content, but remember: THIS GAME IS IN EARLY ACCESS, so don't expect the biggest things in this game, it's not finished yet, and the developer is still working on it. This game requires at leat a little bit of knowledge of what you're doing. This game is a game where you design, and engineer your vehicle. If you like games like KSP, Scrap Mechanic, Space Engineers, or any games that requires some thinking, this is a game for you. But keep in mind, every joint is capable of rotation on every axis, and will do so! Or, if you like stress-testing other people's cars, planes etc, then you can do that. Like experimenting, engineering, planning, designing, and thinking about your creations? Then this is a game for you!

A nice little game thats headed in the right direction. Its in the good hands of a sole developer who isnt lazy and is constantly improving the aspects of his game. There is a pretty in-depth building system here and lots of time can be wasted making cool designs. The physics are also quite complex and fairly realistic. Its currently lacking content. No AI races, multiplayer, manual transmission and controller support. As it stands, its a damn good car-building game.

Brilliant. I bought 2 other building games today after selling off a good proportion of my steam cards, out of the three games, which were:- Brick Inventions, Rover Builder & Dream Car Builder, This didn`t really jump out at me as being particularly intuitive or easy to build with. Don`t ask me why but at first glance it looks complicated and hard to grasp. It isn`t. The tutorial is easy to understand, and most object placing and editing is intuitive. It IS very flexible and you have a large choice of materials & parts to make use of. Your cars can be as simple or as complex as you like. Testing your creation on the maps provided is a blast in itself & great fun. Back in the dim and distant past I participated and competed in a lot of real life motorsport hill climbs in a very tatty, old, roll cage equipped mk 1 Ford Escort, This game is the closest I`ve seen to recreating the experience of hill climbing, but in a video game. (Choosing the right route when climbing a steep hill, is everything, and is close to what you have to do in real life). I haven`t yet tackled the actual game or multiplayer aspects of this, as I`ve always preferred the sandbox or creative mode in building games like this, No restrictions on parts and build to your hearts content basically. But just an hour playing only that aspect of this game has already convinced me that I`ve got my moneys worth. Its on sale at the moment for £4.45 and worth every penny. Good game.

If you are a car/suspension nerd, this game is for you. For pretty much anyone else, ehhhh. It does take some design knowledge to have fun with it. It does take a little getting used to just because of the way the game works but it doesnt take long to figure out. Unless you "fix angles", every frame piece is free to move like a spherical joint, so that means you have to triangulate everything that you dont want to move. I would like it if the default joint was like it was welded, then you chose if you want it to be a ball joint, bushing, etc. Theres other aspects of the game that are a little weird as well. Everything has vague absolute values. Like say, your cars shocks have a spring rate of 2500. 2500 what tho? Same goes for damping. Your adjustment range is on a slider from -1 to 1. It would be a little more intuitive if things were assigned values used in the real wold. But I guess thats more an issue of it being made in unity. It isnt the prettiest game, but again, unity. I see it more as an interactive design tool than a game anyway. You can build pretty much any suspension you can think of in this game, it just takes some creativity. As far as I can tell this game is made by one dude, so mad props to you. You've made a rad piece of software.

This is not a game about building your dream car. This is about being the car builder of your dreams. In the past two days I've played about 16 hours of this game. It's amazing how much time you can spend engineering suspension systems and then crashing the same vehicle in 50 different ways. I think the sandbox mode is the only true way to experience this game. You can spend 30 minutes or so working on a super fancy suspension system, then watch it crunch in front of your eyes because you forgot to add a support beam. That just makes it all the more satisfying when you finally get it working. You get to watch your intricate mechanisms working in a realistic way (other than the fact that frames have no collisions, only the points). You get to drive fast and crash in slow motion. Want to make a crab car? A porta-potty that drives? Or a replica of a real car, complete with the same suspension setup? You can do that in this game. That said, there is no logic or programming, it's purely physics-based, which means this game does not scratch ALL my itches... but it sure does scratch a lot of them! Other reviews have compared the user experience of the editor to that of working in CAD. I can see the similarity, yeah. It's just a lot more intuitive and fun than CAD is. There are no sketches, extrusions, tolerances etc. just you and your vertex-based creation. Have fun!

Have fun!
