Chicken Assassin: Reloaded has a really cool art style, just like all the other OneShark games and the music is pretty good too. However, I would not recommend this as there's an issue with not being able to change resolution and if it's stuck and a lower one, then you won't be able to change it again. This causes issues with you not being able to see some enemies. There's another issue where some enemies just can't be killed and you have to wait for them to kill you or just leave. Rather go play their other games like Great Hero's Beard or Ultra Savage. They're a lot more developed with more play time and features.

    Upon first glance at Chicken Assassin: Master of Humiliation on Steam, the game seemed like a 2D brawler games involving fowl in fisticuffs. If you read the description of the game, it would have you believe it is an “Epic Action RPG! Full of Sarcastic and Hilarious Characters…”. It is very difficult to tell that it is actually a clicker game, with no mention of this fact in the description or trailers. Let's see how it stacks up. The gameplay of Chicken Assassin is very much as you would expect for a clicker game. As Mean McCallister, Chicken Assassin, you aggressively click-to-death each and every enemy that come storming in from off screen, clearing wave after wave of these baddies until you reach the boss of the level. And once you do reach the boss, you guessed it, you click it into submission. Defeating enemies provides you with items that you can use to give McCallister stat boosts to increase his battle effectiveness, and souls you use to purchase items and upgrades. You also unlock new outfits from time to time through collecting enough of certain item drops or beating certain enemies etc. The upgrades available to you come in two forms; resource and character. Resource upgrades are focused on increasing the frequency that you obtain souls and the value they possess. This can be something on the level of directly increasing the numeric value per soul or something like purchasing little flame minions to gather souls while you are away (this is one of many portions of the game that seem very mobile gamey). The character upgrades give direct, permanent, stat boosts to Mean McCallister, like increased defense or increase critical chance percentage. You don’t really run into too many spots where you do not have enough souls to get upgrades, due to the “Rooster Tales”, the games achievements that award various amounts of souls as a reward for their completion. That being said, one extremely annoying feature that reeks of mobile game is the “Soul Limit” that you have to spend souls to increase. There were several times were I would earn a 500,000 soul reward only to receive 100,000 and the rest disappear into the ether because “I can’t carry that many souls”. It doesn’t even tell you your current souls limit, so you have no way of knowing if you are close to full or not. After playing for an hour or so, you will quickly realize the pattern of gameplay. Since there is no way to heal outside of an upgrade that gives you a chance to heal after defeating an enemy or leveling up mid-game (instant full health), and the enemies usually get their attack(s) before you can react to them, you will click madly trying to stay alive whilst constantly bleeding health until the boss one-shots you and you have to restart the level. You will keep repeating the cycle of fight, die, re-equip, fight again over and over until you get lucky with the level up timing or are so over leveled you can murder anything in your path and beat the level. But, when you start the next level, it starts all over again, you get your teeth kicked in, so you die, re-equip, fight again etc. It is just the same thing over and over and over, and it gets boring extremely quickly. While the sound effects are quite good for the game, the music is another beast all together. Mediocre at its best and irritatingly bad at worst. The main menu music (before you pay souls to unlock more music…in a game you paid for already) is a seemingly random assortment of drum beats and synths, with some weird pitched up vocals meandering around in the background that soon fades to almost out of tune piano chords. Most times you are better off playing with the music turned down. The worst thing of all however is the blatant racist and sexist imagery the game uses for background characters and enemies. In the very first mission, there is an Asian man with thick round glasses with buck teeth and a rice hat betting on the game, with what looks like a black face caricature eating a fried chicken leg. In the riot scene you fight overweight women with picket signs that read “Free the Nipple”. Their title: “Angry Feminist”. It gets worse when you get to the “Borderlands” level in which you are fighting outside of a gigantic concrete wall where your enemies are “Vatos” and “Wetbacks”. In what way is this okay?!?! It’s astonishing that a game like this was greenlit on Steam, let alone has such high ratings. If these depictions were meant to be in jest (though still in poor taste), it should have been made more clear. Final Opinion Pros: 1. Oil Painting ArtStyle is Cool 2. Visual Effects are Well Done 3. Lots of Customization Options Cons: 1. Grindy 2. Gets Old Fast 3. Bad Music 4. Have to Unlock Features that Should Just Come with A Game You Paid For 5. RACISM and SEXISM Buyer beware, I would not recommend it but its your decsion. RATINGS Gameplay: 4/10 Graphics: 4/10 Story: 2/10 Sound: 3/10 Content/Cost: 4/10 OVERALL: 3.4/10

    Somewhat of a weird game, it plays a bit like a side scrolling beat em up, except you can't move. It is also a bit like a clicker game in that you have to keep clicking as fast as possible to kill your enemies before they kill you. There are also RPG elements were you can find equipment and mold your character to fit your preferences and you level up various abilities that make fights easier in various ways. The control in combat takes a little getting used to - essentially regardless of whether you have a melee weapon or a sniper rifle you always have to wait until the enemy moves into position before you can start damaging them, and even if you are using a melee weapon you can hit them wherever they end up stopping - most come into close range, but there are a few exceptions that hang out nearer the edges of the screen and can be easy to miss if lots of other attackers are closing in. It has a few flaws like this, but overall it is a fairly interesting and different game.

    I am a fan of casual games, and 'clickers' give me a bit of interactivity while watching Netflix that makes stuff interesting for me. That's the context of this commentary. I really enjoyed Chicken Assassin. Right out of the gate... "Chicken Assassin". Amirite?? Great name. The 'click in the lobby' mixed with the 'click against waves of mobs' mechanic was a nice bit of diversity. The upgrade system was simple without the need for a sliderule to figure things out. Unlocking wardrobe items is the driving reason to replay levels after you cap out. It was totally worth the 1.99$ I paid. If you like clickers and casual games, I don't think you will be disappointed.

    Got to be a Markiplier Rooster wearing heart boxers, beating (clicking) up mice with swords, giant green blob monsters, mutant cyborgs, octopus treasure chests, and more - all while upgrading my skills, earning cool items and souls, and eventually doing business in the black market and partaking in boss raids! Basically, I love a great clicker game. This is a decent clicker game. It isn't great, but it's definitely not bad either. I've had a good amount of fun and laughs with it, and will more than likely 100% it. Markirooster, out!

    Beat the game. Probably one of the highest quality clicker games I've ever played; only down side is that it's pretty short. 8 hours of gameplay, but it was a FUN 8 hours, which is pretty rare nowadays. It is a clicker game, but not necessarily an idle game. Music is superb, artwork and animations were on point, and the scaling wasn't too easy nor too hard. Balance is perfect, and each level has its own feel to it. 10/10, would assassinate again.

    A total steal even at full price. This game combines everything that is fun - rapid clicking, unlocking things, costumes, stats, leveling, many levels, attention to details, unique enemies and missions and great artwork. Also, trading cards and achievements, both Steam and in-game. A mouse-only beat'em up, very addictive and worth more than it costs.
Jarrizard's Pros and Cons Review
If you're looking for a clicker game with afk progression, this is not for you. While being true to it's genre, a clicker game. it is not your typical one. The game requires full attention (and clicking) to advance. It is more of a beat em up but more casual.
==[ Pros ]==
[+] Polished unique art style with a lot of customization and items to lookout for. [+] Well-made soundtrack and voiced narration. The atmosphere and feel of the game is just as good. [+] Good difficulty curve. Grinding is rewarding and doesn't feel like a chore. [+] Different effects and stats for different weapons to cater your own preferred playing style. (Shotgun has spread damage, Rifles has headshot mechanics, etc.) [+] Very easy to get all achievements with enough patience.
==[ Cons ]==
[-] Menus and dialogues can bug from time to time forcing you to restart the game. [-] Using auto clicker is game-breaking. Considering you deal damage per tap you would burst all enemies and boss with an auto clicker on .10/click settings. [-] It's short. and even shorter with an auto clicker. "Chicken Assassin: Reloaded" is a clicker game. It's got a really nice, unique art style. And, that's all the good I can say about it. This game is just annoying in so many different ways. It's presented as a combat game, but features some of the worst hit boxes I've ever seen in any game. Additionally, the game's art style makes everything on screen overly cluttered. It is usually surprisingly difficult to pick out the mobs from the constantly moving background animations. On top of this, all mobs have entrance animations, during which they are invulnerable. This would be fine except for the fact it is almost impossible to see when these enemies stop moving and start becoming vulnerable targets. A marker of any sort would easily fix this problem, but no. Those gradually fade into view only after the mob has already begun to attack you. Big help. So, it's a clicker game where simply clicking on things is needlessly difficult. But, wait! There's more! The first loot you'll unlock consists of pathetically desperate shout-outs to youtubers no one will remember in a few years. Most every piece of loot can be attached to give you a stat boost, because of course this game wants to be an ARPG! Great. Does this add any level of nuanced depth to "Chicken Assassin: Reloaded?" No? What a shock. The most viable strategy is to just buff your HP and DEF as much as possible since the mobs are given every advantage to strike first. Enjoy playing a wall, while you wait for a decent weapon to drop! The game also features a story mode. It's even presented as a "feature." Unsurprisingly, it cannot be bothered to actually conclude its narrative in any way because the game conveniently decides to become an intentionally ironic troll game in the 11th hour. Oh, and you have to endure all of this just to unlock the normally obligatory "Endless Horde" mode. "Chicken Assassin: Reloaded" has little idea of what it wants to be, other than noticed. Don 't give it the satisfaction of a second glance.

    A clicker game with rpg elements. Point at enemy. Click till it's dead. Repeat. Upgrade your stats with items and outfits as to increase your chances at winning the next map / level. It's so dumb, it's actually quite funny. Looks good too. Lots of variations in enemy graphics and the style is pure humor. Levelling and upgrades come fast and rewards are plenty. It's very easy, yet can keep you busy for several hours. Keep clickinnnnnnnnnn!

    This is one of those games that make me wish I could vote out of stars rather than a flat yea or nay. It's a simple enough game with a fun, quick play through, but there's a mission where the enemies you're killing are specifically analogous to Indigenous people. Living in a country that's in the middle of enacting genocide against our Indigenous people, it left a sour taste in my mouth. I don't particularly know how to unpack the presence of Hitler as a miniboss either. Play at your own risk I guess.

Also, trading cards and achievements, both Steam and in-game. A mouse-only beat'em up, very addictive and worth more than it costs.

    As far as clickers go, I needed this in my life. I paid full price & don't regret it. Note: Non-chikens might not get the same satisfaction. Cons - This has not spawned a comic. Chikens need heroes too :(
Jarrizard's Pros and Cons Review
If you're looking for a clicker game with afk progression, this is not for you. While being true to it's genre, a clicker game. it is not your typical one. The game requires full attention (and clicking) to advance. It is more of a beat em up but more casual.
==[ Pros ]==
==[ Cons ]==
