Turns out, when a DeLorean SciFi turns up in the auction house (a.k.a. the Back to the Future version), it plays a little piece of knock-off Back to the Future theme to go with it. Same thing when you take it to the testing track. Also, it turns out that you can accidentally forget to put the spark plugs back in, and then have to disassemble the entire intake manifold to get it out of the way enough so that you can actually reach the points where you put the fiddly little things back in, leading to mild annoyance when you can't start the car, and a bit of a chuckle when you realise just what your stupid-ass forgot to replace. Whoops.

It's a DeLorean, and you can put a V8 in it! Also, there is a "Sci Fi" version that is reminiscent of the BTTF time machine, but not an exact replica. Anyway, if you like adding more cars to your virtual garage, this DLC is worth getting.

This is a good DLC for any DMC fans. You can put a v8 in the dmc-12 delorean. I am not sure about the sci-fi one though. They are one of the easier car to build. I am hoping the devs bring some parts for it in the performance shop.

Bought it before it got any reviews, didn't regret it. Got a BTTF-ish- DeLorean in my garage. And you can put a V8 in it! Hope they bring some performance parts though

This is so far the best DLC for the game, imho. You can tell the devs put a lot of love into this one. Here are the reasons why: - DeLorean, obviously! ;) - Whole new V6 engine with only few parts reused from base game (if you study some schematics, like this one you will see how well it's replicated, - SciFi version aka DeLorean Time Maschine (it isn't 1:1 copy of the movie version probably because of the licensing/copyright issues but it also looks great!), - There are some movie themed music jingles here and there (like when the SciFi version enters the auction hall or when you take it to the drag strip), you can feel the BTTF spirit :) - Possibility to swap the engine to V8, - Since the car's body is made of stainless steel, it practically can't rust. The devs took it into account and made a special "worn-out" texture so it looks believable, - Possibility to repaint the car in different color! It isn't an easy task to paint the stainless steel body in real life ;) Now you can make your own "Purple Rain" Time Maschine ;) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=766763226 To make it clear: if you want to see/own the SciFi version you have to buy it in the auction house. It's different vehicle than the standard one and you will get rapair jobs only with the standard one.

I should probably put this in the DLC's actual review section, but I'm writing it here first: I like the DeLorean DLC. It offers a fairly unique and memorable car in two variants, and it actually allows more customisation than practically any other car in the came. By default, the DeLorean ships with a unique V6 engine, but you have the option of switching to the game's standard modern V8. The first time I sat down to rebuild one of these and realised I had literally no V8 parts available (since all my refurbished parts were for the V6) was actually a pretty nique experience, giving me the feeling of actually building a car, rather than simply reassembling one that came in whole, World of Guns style. The car looks pretty damn good, too. I'm glad the developers remembered that the DeLorean's body is made of stainless steel, so even an old ratty worn-out body isn't rusty. Stainless steel doesn't rust, after all. The car is also clearly not painted, as you can see all of the striation marks on the stainless sheets, I presume from when they were rolled. You CAN paint it if you want, but the car comes in looking like bare metal. Even "painted," it still retains the texture of bare rolled stainless steel. I like that. The DeLorean is also a rear-engine car, which is fairly rare in this game. Yes, we have the Maluch, but we don't talk about that... Working on an engine in the back is a bit of a weird experience, but that's the point of a decent DLC - to give you something new and expand the game in some way. The DeLorean SciFi feels kind of cheap and hokey. Not only is there no fiddling with the actual nuclear reactor, that entire piece of tech is only a few centimeters thick and restricted to the hood. Most of the rear engine bay is taken up by - as you would expect - the engine, which is entirely conventional albeit weird. It feels like the developers built a traditional DeLorean, then slapped a few extra pieces to make the SciFi version. That wouldn't be a problem - this is not a sci-fi game, after all - if it didn't cause problems. The Delorean SciFi has a non-removable trunk gate where all of the sci-fi props are, meaning you can't fix or replace it. It also has no air intake of any description whatsoever for the V8 conversion, I presume because of the extra props. It also has its own entire set of separate named body parts despite them being the same as the regulad DeLorean part. Overall, I'm happy with my pruchase. This was a cheap DLC (which seemed to be discounted on top of that) with a lot of cool new stuff in it. I don't regret buying it, with the implicit understanding that the missing Performance parts will be added in soon. *edit* Since posting this review, Performance counterparts for the DeLorean engine parts have been added. Consequently, I took out that part of the review.

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious stuff. Love back to the future and to see the cars added to the game is a must for anyone that is a BTF fan. How could anyone ever dislike a classic Delorean? Overall I think it was 4$ well spent.

AMAZING. The engine detail is suberb! it closely models a real DMC engine. The interior is a bit underwhelming but it gets the job done. I won't say what happens if you take the Delorean SciFi edition to the drag strip but lets say its well worth the price. ____________ Pros: Great Detail Great Number of New Parts Special Event Happens At The Drag Strip ;) The 'Performance DLC' allows you to swap a V8 in a Delorean! Sweet. ____________ Cons: Interior is a bit underwhelming. (Carpet Detail is a bit meh) Engine is a bit tricky to take apart and rebuild if you're new to the car. and a few minor blemishes here and there. ____________ At the end of the day this is an amazing add-on to CMS15.

Was a pleasant surprise when the Delorean Scifi popped up in the auction house and the back to the future music played! That was super awesome. Was not expecting the Delorean Scifi to disappear when I took it out on the drag strip! I was driving it and having fun and then the music started and blue smoke started appearing and then... POOF!! Absolutely love this DLC and can totally appreciate the work put into it because I am a HUGE Back To The Future fan!!! Anybody who is a fan of Back To The Future would totally love this DLC!! And i have to give props to the game devs, well done Red Dot Games. Hopefully Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 on Xbox One will have this kind of love and care in it.
