Birdsketball is a local multiplayer sports game for 1 - 4 players.

At the heart of the game are simple controls that require finesse and practice to master. The birds fly and bounce around like tiny dog-fighting planes.

Features

2 - 4 player VS mode

Single or 2 player coop campaign

Collaborative level editor. Play while you edit.

First time flyers

The controls are simple. But to fly around effectively takes skill and practice to master. Here are some tips for improving your game:

Take your finger off the flap button sometimes: You rotate faster if you aren't flapping.

Boost into a wall and you will rebound in the opposite direction.

Tackle your opponents by boosting into them.

Shooting is important, you fly slower when holding the ball. With practice you can perform lob shots, rebounds and passes.

Some players prefer to use the right trigger for flapping (not me!). If you hold it just right, you can almost hover on the spot.

Make your own levels together:

Build a level with your friends using the collaborative level editor.

Quickly switch between flying and drawing to test the level as you make it.

Birdsketball is crazy fun. Played 1v1 last night and couldn't put it down. Controls are easy to learn and I cannot wait to try 4 player.

I've only played just a bit over 40 minutes of it...but I think...due to the simplistic nature of the game...that I have a firm grasp of what this is all about. Birdsketball is a neat little budget title that reminds me of something you may have seen in arcades or on Atari 2600 in the early 1980's. You immediately understand the point...it's pure / distilled gameplay with no bull here...and it's fun. Highly recommended if you're into a cheap, retro-arcadey-sport based good time.

Basic concept with surprising complexity, and great fun the whole way. It's got a smooth feel and a great sound track. If you're the kind of person that likes to play co-op or competive games on the couch with your friends, then this is a must have!

Player Count: 1-4 Controller Support: 2 on Keyboard & 4 Controllers Playstyle: 2-Player Co-op & 4-Player Competitive Online-Local Crossplay: Unknown Review: Birdsketball is a simple game but, with such a low price tag, it is more than worth it. It offers very fun and simple gameplay that can, hilariously, have intense moments. The aim of the game is to carry a ball to a goal section and score 5 points before your opponent. Combine this with goofy movement, full map free throws, and slam dunks, you can have an enjoyable few hours with your friends. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this game, especially at the sale price I was able to purchase it at. I imagine this will hold a special place in the Couch Game section of my steam library for quick, casual fun similar to Starwhal or Mount your Friends.

Great fun for a while with friends. Even has a couple single player levels but consider this a local multiplayer-only game. Has some quirks too which causes me to not recommend this at full price. The dash-against-a-wall-and-bounce-backwards feature is super annoying and makes you lose track of your position instantly. The level editor is broken: if you modify your own level only the additions are saved but removals are lost causing a broken mess of a level. Overall fun little indie game made clearly with love and passion for games.

Bought this for 50% off at 99 cents. Even at the full price I would recommend this game. It's such a simple concept that can get you hooked. My friend and I played through career mode together and had a blast, I would recommend playing through this to get a grasp on the controls. The level editor is very cool and gives you options to create arenas that force you to employ different offensive / defensive strategies. The addition of this level editor gives us so many more hours of playtime and it is completely interractive between every player which is very neat. The art style and music is simplistic and enjoyable, which ties in with the mood of the game. The only bug I have found is that some of my saved levels do not save properly or will overwrite eachother, otherwise this game has been nothing but joy. The gameplay is simple, addicting, and polished. Very fun couch co-op / party game. At 2 bucks, I'd buy this for all my friends so when I come over we can play. For the developer: If sharing levels online was possible, that would be cool. I would love to see maybe some more modes instead of just "score into a net." Cups like best of 5 or 7 games would be neat. This game better be an eSport in 2 years.

5.2/10 - Beat-boxing + Birds + Basketball = About 30 minutes of fun. I had some fun with this game for sure, but overall it's too short and has too little polish to go crazy about it. The graphics are cute, and the beat box sounds were fun and the game itself takes some skill to master. End of positives. I honestly wouldn't even pay the $1.99; more like a 99c game or whatever you value 30 minutes of time at. There are only 8 levels in campaign which can be completed in just half an hour. There is no achievements, cards, menu options or any of the final touches I like to see. Local multiplayer is available; but I have never once utilized it. (in any game). If I did have friends and they wanted to play something locally it would be a much better game. So to highlight that element above others is weak. Overall, it's cool but only worth $0.50-0.99. 30 minutes of Game-play.

Accidently Reviewed
Hundreds of Reviews, Thousands of Members and FREE games for you! No Strings attached. As you can tell from my hours played, I absolutely love this game. Its beauty is in its simplicity. The campaign is short, but it's fun and teaches you the basics of game mechanics. For me, the most fun part of this game is the 1-2 punch of being able to play locally with friends, and being able to design your own map. My friends and I have spent countless hours (or actually 81+ to be more exact) fiddling around with maps, tournaments, and strategies. While this game seems like it's just a few birds trying to score a ball in a 2D map, it has a lot hidden strategy and play styles. I'll echo what a lot of other reviews are saying and emphasize that this game is perfect for a small kickback, a larger party, or just a night in with 1 or 2 friends.
