Assault on the Necrospire is a roguelike with an emphasis on interesting loot and character building. The Necromancer has destroyed the wizard order, leaving only you alive. You must venture through the ever changing Necrospire to bring him to justice.

Discover a wealth of loot

The Necrospire is brimming with loot, granting powerful (and sometimes unusual) effects. Mythical items await those able to reach the highest floors of the Necrospire, bestowing extraordinary abilities.

Define your build

Choose how you want to fight with an inventory system that allows you to change your build on the go.

Harness the power of magic

Equip spell tomes to modify your attacks. Slow your enemies, burn them to a crisp or even freeze them in time. Up to 5 spell tomes can be equipped at once, combining their effects together.

Up the challenge for greater rewards

Enable difficulty modifiers such as double bosses and exploding enemies, making the Necrospire far more dangerous but increasing your chances of finding rarer loot.

Equip ancient relics

Use powerful relics to summon companions to your side, teleport yourself across a room, fire deadly volleys of arrows and much, much more.

Face challenging enemies

Powerful foes await you as you climb the Necrospire. Use your equipment, spells and relics to even the odds.

A new experience each time

Each journey into the Necrospire is randomly generated; no two runs will be the same.

This game looks very promising. It feels great to play. There are some really cool ideas happening here. It's basically a twin stick shooter roguelike type game, but with an item/ inventory system that allows you to tailor the combat to your liking (most of the time anyway, depending on the RNG factor) Pretty much all the items you find could be used in combination with another to make some really interesting, and often surprising, results. The game has only been out for a few weeks, and already it has greatly improved from the original build. I look forward to seeing what the developer does with this game.

Very good game, fun to play, levels are interestingly made and there's no moment of boredom

First off, I paid for this game. I like to support developers, especially ones that add elements to a genre. I like that this game adds an inventory system to the rogue-like genre. I can customize my loadouts or change them based on the situation. I like the music, although it would be great to add some more variety. The Graphic style is appealling to me, the retro look is great. For an early access game, I like it and look forward to future updates! Here's my Youtube review! https://youtu.be/gIyxGCVDJ-k

Too many bugs... You play an hour, can't save and then the game crash. It's idiotic. Also, it's built with java.

iffy on my vote. it is a $5 game. get this on sale. it does become a little easy once you get a feel after a few runs. classes are just starting with different items, nothing too crazy. trading safety for item (relic) rarity is nice. game DOES NOT SAVE IF YOU EXIT. i repeat GAME DOES NOT SAVE. so i do have some idle hours in this game. graphics are alright. controls are ok, the swipe-wand-deflect-projectiles move activates a little late, takes some getting used to. items are generally well balanced. spiders suuuuuck. overall 7/10 good in-between game when the major titles feel a little burnt out. there is one glitch in later levels, if you get hit with a miniboss's clusterbomb, you might be expelled from room boundaries. there is a fix; you need to walk (yes out of bounds) to the exit from the room, where you'd expect the collision detection is.

The controls just don't mesh with my brain. Not being able to rebind the controls for the controller makes this game mostly unplayable for me. Yes, there are keyboard controls as an option, but if you have a controller plugged in there's not an option to use the keyboard instead, nor a way to swap control settings from within the game. The game looks fun, but I just can't play it.
